' CARDIFF CITY EMBARRASS THEMSELVES V 10 MAN CHARLTON '

Today showed once again we will struggle in the long run under Russell Slade & Scott Young.

Charlton with 10 men made a double subs and from then on slaughtered Cardiff

The scoreline totally flatters Cardiff City, yes we got a draw but were totally out played by 10 men Charlton,Slades football is dire and clueless.

2pts from our last 12pts

Charlton 1 Cardiff City 1

Cardiff City line up

Marshall, Brayford, Turner, whittingham, Noone, John, Gunnarsson, Adeyemi, S.Morrison,K Jones, Le Fondre.
Subs: Moore, Fabio, Manga, Connolly, Ralls, Harris, Macheda.

Slade shocked many including myself by leaving Kadeem Harris,Fabio and Manga on the bench

City were Cheered on by about 1,000 Bluebirds, nearly all wearing Blue :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Cardiff City went in to this game without a win in our last 3 games and were playing Charlton who had not won a game in their last 5 matches and were one place beneath us.

City made a steady start and then in the 12th minute from a Gunnarson long throw,Adeyemi heads it in,at the far post,0-1 City :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: Gunnarsson had another long throw, Turner again with the flick on and Adeyemi went close once more. Cardiff were good value for the lead :ayatollah:

Cardiff threatened again as Jones broke through but it was ruled offside, looked very tight.

Cardiff were all over Charlton and City fans were continually singing "We Will Always Be Blue" :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Craig noone fires over the bar from the edge of the penalty box in the 31st minute,Cardiff were really controlling the game.

Then in the 34th minute Red card for Charltons Harriott for a challenge on Noone :thumbright: :thumbright:

But in the 38th min Charlton came at Cardiff and Marshall had to make a good save from a volley :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Half time Charlton 0 City 1 :thumbright: And well deserved :ayatollah:

Cardiff were all over them from the first second and Charlton were struggling to keep the ball :ayatollah:

But then in the 53rd minute Marshall made a fine save, then 2 mins later Charlton attack again & put it wide

59th min Charlton did a double subs, Gomez and Jackson replaced by Vetokele and Onyewu.

64th min Sean Morrison booked for City.

Charlton's 10 men were now in control and dominating City

68th min Charlton hit the woodwork.

69th min Le Fondre replaced by Harris

Marshall called in to action again and does another excellent save.

74th & 75th min Brayford clears off the line, then Marshall saved again.

Two penalty claims turned down for Charlton, one a handball.

10 men Charlton dominated the second half and in the 86th minute got what they rightly deserved 1-1.

My man of the match David Marshall :thumbright:

Today showed me,City are just getting worse under Slade & Young.

Next up is Watford home this Sunday 3pm :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Always the optimist wez, we played ten men for 60minutes for god sake and had 39% of the ball while they had THREE times as many shots on our goal, what planet are you on. Thats a joke in football terms not a positive :bluescarf:

Very sad. Doesnt seem to have a clue. Bringing on subs in the last minute to waste time against 10 men.the opposing manager changes his shape and approach and we just hope to hang on - pathetic.Slade is a lucky boy cos Charlton should have won according to the radio commentry.
I agree we need to trim the squad but what criteria is he using!? Get rid of any pace and flair. Also if you decide on a team trimmed of quality you need 11 players giving their all! Whittingham and Kenwynne Jones only try when they feel like it!!!

You be saying the same if we had the same ball play and shots playing 9men for 60minutes to i bet, dont matter if we normally lose boxing day the point is we was outplayed and hung on to a draw vs a team with ten men for 70% of the game time left who dominated today. That in 99% of peoples eyes is embarrassing

We are going noware with Slade and young in charge. We are going in one direction and that's down. After this performance we are a bloody shambles.Thats another few thousand fans LESS at the Watford game.Tan choose this clown as manager and will not sack him even if we lost 10 nil.Slade and young must be sacked NOW before we get to be the laughing stock of the championship.

It's been obvious for ages slade hasn't got a clue, if you ain't embarrass by leading a game then throwing it away being a player up for most the game then I sulute you.

I think we can all see he is way out of his depth, even if some don't want to post it. Club is a mature from top to bottom.

I still hold that Slade is doing a better job than Ole and WAS holding onto the fact he deserves the chance.

Now I feel Slade has lost it. He bragged about average 2 points a game not long ago. If you count the Blackpool game he is now down to 1.2. That fighting relegation and I feel it is going to get worse.
