Deportivo La Coruña are hoping to tie up a deal for Cardiff City outcast Javi Guerra over the next 48 hours, as the Spaniard hopes to seal a move back to his home country.

The 32-year-old has made just three league appearances for Cardiff City since joining in the summer, while the Welsh club appear to be happy to let him move on. Now, Víctor Fernández’s Deportivo are hoping to tie a deal up for the striker over the next few days, but still face competition from other clubs interested in his services.

If a deal can’t be completed to take him to Galicia, MARCA maintains that another option for Fernández’s team is Wigan Athletic’s Oriol Riera. Much alike Guerra, he made the switch to England from Spain in the summer, but has also failed to settle in the country and could look for a route back home. Meanwhile, Levante, Málaga and Almería will rival them for the signing, should be become the preferred option.

Dikgachoi was saying he'll be Ok in Feb and wants to fight for a place, so maybe not him.

I don't see Morrison leaving either, but you might be right about the others. I hope not in Fabio's case particularly.

Shame it didn't work out with him he is definately one of the players that is better than what we have ...............

I'm surprised burgerstaller hasn't had a chance. I saw him a few times, he looked like a real hard worker, tall and strong with a half decent left foot. Though he may suit the championship to be fair

it's a strange one unless it's the coaches and back room staff that got slades ear

Well the ones young had a go at and didn't use haven't really been given a chance since slade arrived.

well he was a Cardiff City player that was on loan so in affect he is one of the ones that left to go back to West Ham but I can also see what you mean
