Saved from Going Bust ?

Fri Dec 26, 2014 12:51 am

Would somebody out there, anybody, please explain to me why we constantly get reminded about the possibility of going out of business and also of the numerous so called "Saviours" of our club who saved us from going bust at the last minute ?
I would also like to ask this simple question....
"How many times have Cardiff City Football Club gone bust over the last sixty years ?

Many years ago the taxman never wound any club up, they always arranged payment plans to pay off their tax liability, those times are long gone, they will now close a club down without a second thought, so don't be so naive as to believe that, the many times we have come close to going to the wall, that the taxman would not do it, as Hereford will show you.

A disgusting attitude by the taxman.

It is not the fans fault a club does not pay its taxes. The directors are the ones who should be chased.

The tax man isn't interested in who's fault it, but I don't think it's an argument. If you don't pay your bills then you face the consequences.

I wouldn't worry about going down that route, if tan was thinking of liquidating us he wouldn't have paid off debts recently.

Yes I agree but morally I feel it is wrong.

And the guys not paying the bills are the board member. They should face the consequences.

as fans we feel that clubs should be the exception to the rules but the taxman does'nt look at it like that they just see football clubs as just another business

Correct, but don't expect some of the chief protagonists on here to pay any heed to the blatantly obvious, Cardiffcitymad, as it muddies the clear waters between fact and agenda for them and (as you know all too well) they don't do 'confused' as it involves them having to think about their views/opinions ;)

Merry christmas to you and yours over there, whilst I am here
