When are we going to realise?

Thu Dec 25, 2014 7:43 pm

This is genuinely not a dig at anyone protesting against the rebrand because, believe me, I admire anybody standing up to this even if it is generally far too late.

But when are we going to realise that we are NEVER going to be blue again whilst Vincent Tan is owner of the club? He is too stubborn amongst other things to ever lose face and change his mind about this.

He's said it countless times that he will never make us blue again, so these planned protests will ultimately achieve nothing unfortunately. The only way to get our club back is to force Tan out of the club, and he's admitted that he would leave if enough fans want him to.

Anybody who feels strongly about this issue needs to come together and make it known to Tan that he's not wanted here, we need to be loud about it and unmistakably clear. Otherwise we may as well just accept that we're staying red because it won't change while he's the owner. No chance.

I accept that some people want us back in blue but also want Tan to stay, but that is never going to happen so I guess it depends on which of the two is most important to you.

For me, it's getting the Cardiff City we know and love back. :bluescarf:

As long as we still protest, it's always still on the agenda, as soon as we stop, it's all over :bluescarf:

Tan could have been a hero, he chose to be the villain

The more protests, maybe the more Tan will realise we don't want the c**t here. The sooner he's gone the better.

I come from a mining family, was a miner from 1974-1990, have followed the city for over 50 years since 1964, everything I've had I've had to fight for, nothing will ever change, if you don't stand up and fight you get rolled over - I am prepared to fight for what I believe and that is return to blue, you never know, tan might see sense if it means him losing money. Let's all unite behind one banner and fight for what we believe.

Anybody with an ounce of dignity in them will feel that they need to do something against this hateful man. What is the main reason you started supporting the club? It wasn't for the fact that you could play against top teams every week, it wasn't the thought that we could pay in a plastic stadium, it was because this was the team our fathers and grandfather's watched in blue. This was the team we watched when there were only a few 1000 on the bob bank and had one of the best respected supports in the country. Don't want to bore you but just read the book by Alexander Cordell 'rape of the fair country' telling the story of the chartists, the valleys people uprising against oppression. Why not give it a go?
