Cheers Bart,I actually forgot it was back V Huddersfield our first ever League game in Red,August 2012, when we first met and we were both in shock how many had already accepted the Red  :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

It's true Annis. For me it was third ever game of Cardiff I have been to. First at the CCS.

I was happy to see that there was a group of fans who were fighting for blue.

Allways loved the Blue the Red looks totally alien I was shocked and gutted the first time I saw our fans
walking around before the first game dressed in red shirts and scarves there was hell of a lot them I honestly
felt they were traitors to the history of such a great club a club I dearly love and have supported for for 45 years
Lets hope there s a change in the very near future keep the faith :bluescarf:

for a significant number of our fans (i'd say as high as 70%), the football on the field, and success, is the most important thing, thats why there was not much protesting or complaining about the red when we were winning every week or the first half of the PL campaign.

the campaign to get back to blue has only gathered momentum since we got relegated, which is telling, and fans are directing their anger at the poor football towards tan, and his rebrand. even if we were blue, i think the fans would be similarly annoyed at the team and management / owner and booing them off.

I was on holiday in Tenerife when we played Huddersfield. With Brum, Blades, arsenal and Derby supporters on same table in bar.
I was so embarrassed, they were taking the piss, one or two feeling sorry for my shame.

There was a "Cardiff fan" in the same place. He never went before but saw no problem with it and would start going if we started challenging for a place in thevpremiervleague.

There lay the problem.
Many fans around the club were new orvnotveven started supporting when that b*stard rebranded.

Part of me died then.
The divorce has been slow and painful.

How can the football world allow this crap. :bluescarf:

Don't forget the anti red protest prior to the 1st game of the prem v Man C. I remember the camaraderie of the event gradually evaporating as we walked past pubs of hostile looking red clad drinkers, then the 'loneliness in a crowd' feeling in the stadium as I looked at the sea of red plastics and old fans too desperate for success for their own good.

You make a fair point about momentum, but don't underestimate the resentment the rebrand has brought about. People don't appreciate being taken for fools. :bluescarf:

yes, it was a strange thing for me seeing so many fans either supporting or completely ignoring the rebrand when we were doing well.

i do wonder how many of those vilifying tan for the rebrand and threatening to not renew season tickets were wearing red scarfs and were happy to trade the blue for money and success that tan promised? quite a few.

the sea of red plastics as you put it, has now shifted to a sea of general discontentment. and that discontentment has shifted focus towards the rebrand. i believe that many would not renew anyway, on the basis of the poor football and high prices. there has been a complete lack of integrity from many CCFC fans.
