No chance he wasn't interested before? Also Wouldn't need consortium unless spreading load!!

Matthews is not and never has been interested in us. A bit like Julian Hodge years ago. Why do people keep clutching at straws.?

I signed Dennis Bergkamp on a 2 month loan spell on CM97/98 when I was Alloa manager... anything is possible! Haha.

Might sound stupid but couldn't see it happening unless he invested in the vale resort. City do a lot through there and he owns the celtic manor.

Not name dropping, but with the large thread regarding a take over and then seeing this post, im in a rare position to comment on something i know about. I am related to DYLAN Matthews via marriage, and his son scott by blood. Although i have only ever spoke to terry a few times in 21 years i am in more regular contact with scott and less so but quite frequently dylan. I can categorically tell you this is not happening. I couldnt give a monkeys about who takes my word, but apart from golf and polo, events at celtic manor, terry's only real 'local' investment and proposal was to work in conjunction with the WRU under the Graham Henry regime fifteen years ago. Dylan has had small investment newport gwent dragons and was offered/approached to smaller installments in newport county. However only the rugby investment came to fruition. Terry is 90% of the time based in canada and has smaller input in canadian franchises, and although being out of the country wouldnt have a real bearing on the prospect of running a british footy club i can tell you that the only real investment if he were to make one would be a gwent based rugby investment. Failing that he would be more inclined to help out the jacks. After all he is an honoury president at his beloved swansea university! Im not saying a take over of some kind isnt in the process of happening, i can with regret tell you as a matter of solid FACT that he will not be investing in our club. I knew in advance of the investment dylan made in NGDragons, however that lacked any kind of interest apart from in rugby clubs and pubs. But with rumours of this kind on here i thought it appropriate to inform fellow BLUEbirds that unfortunately this isnt true.. wish it was.

I'm not related to anyone in the Matthews household, but I also know Dylan and have conversed with Sir Terry on a number of occasions for business reasons and I can categorically confirm you are correct in your statement that no one in the Matthews household will be investing in ANY football club (let alone Cardiff City FC) any time soon; in fact, I would say EVER!

They are simply just not interested, as Sir Terry has 'other fish to fry' and his current priority is not the Wales Open Golf Tournament (that is all on hold) but the building of a new Conference Centre and (possibly) the extension of the hotel itself!

Fans can clutch a straws and throw Sir Terry's name in to the ring, but you don't want to be placing any bets on it! ;)

I once shook hands with Terry and he told me he hated football

I've worked for this guy. He's a little shit who's neither really interested in egg chasing or football. His real interest is himself and I guess he has the billions to prove it. I could tell you a few stories and give you a few quotes from his Newbridge Networks days on the subject of sponsorship and investment (or lack of it) in sport.

Never had the negative experience of him, to be honest and I know what he has done for a certain charity to which I am closely involved. The guy simply doesn't like football and won't invest in something he can't see the point in

Thankfully, there are others (ironically Tan is one of them) who will and that's why we need to be a tad careful of what we wish for when alienating the richest owner we're ever likely to have ;)

Just making a point
