He could of easily played for Arsenal, or Man utd.

And held down a first team place, in absense of ramsey, or di maria.

Yet at Cardiff Slade lets him go for 2million, not a Slade type player has so much talent Slade doesn't know what to do with it
He Doesn't fit in to the Real Madrid Galactico system.

I don't see much difference beetween us or wigan, I think we are equally as bad, and Rotherham are miles better than us and they are going to be close to going down

You are placing the blame as it was slades decision to sell him I think tan may have been involved somehow maybe reluctant to play him for fear of injury you are right what you are saying though being sold far too cheap

United had loads of talented kids, they cant keep them all. Since leaving united he regularly gets man of the match awards for Norway.

Incorrect... they didn't.they let go Macheda .. And eikrem...
Daehli on the other hand, they actually wanted to keep. Tred to buy him back when he transferred to cardiff. To leave united was his desicion.

The posts on Daehli are becoming embarrassing.....

We live in a European free market economy,if any top team in Europe including Arsenal or Man united thought he was a snip at £2 million they would have come in for him.

I guess that Matts people thought that the German team were a better fit than Cardiff City, but talk of him being in the superstar category are based upon pure optimism.

For Matts to thrive in the championship he needed to be given a free role and if we are giving out free roles I would prefer to give that to Whitts with 5 goals and loads of assists to his name.

Football at our level is played in the now, and now Matts is work in progress

Daehli's best position is just behind the striker in a free role. But unfortunately, Daehli currently lacks the things required to be great in the number 10 role, those things are pace and end product.

Agree that this is over the top.
But so are post like yours about how if a big club wanted him he would have gone there.
He turned man u down remember? how hard is it to get that he could have been at a big club, in fact has already and chose to leave. Because some players surprise, surprise actually want to play games rather than rot on the bench or in dvp sides for years.
There seems to be a disconnect here now that he has left, half of you are busy saying he can't be as good as we thought because he didn't go to Chelsea or man u. The other half is saying he could bE playing for them.
Both are wrong. He could be at man u or some club like that. The thing is he wouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11. So why would a boy who was unhappy with limited minutes at Cardiff go to a club where the chances of getting games wouldn't be even smaller? Doesn't make sense does it? If you look at this side he has joined its pretty obvious he choose somewhere they will play him. That's the same reason he chose Cardiff once upon a time.
He's pretty down to earth and pragmatic in his approach. Can't say the same about most of these posts.

The reason i said "matts people" because they have probably learnt from he Cardiff experience that finding the right club, system and manager are more important than going through the big club system of loaning out youngsters.

Like most of our younger ex players I will watch matts progress from a distance, and really hope the lad does well and he does fulfil his considerable talent

And he's their best player by a country mile,
he's a key man.
He would play for wales and do as good a Job as Allen and certainly strengthen the midfield with the right balance

I think Medel could have made it at Arsenal, after he left us, just what they needed.....
