' Cardiff City and under using young talent '

What is it with the club that when we get exciting young players be it buying them , getting them on loan , or through the academy we constantly under use them then lose them for cheap sums of money .

Just thinking through a couple .

Arron Ramsey -
left us too early for a pretty low sum of money and wasn't used in big games even though more than capable

Karim frei -
fantastic young player on loan , under used and wasted whilst we had him

Ravel Morrison -
how this guy couldn't get in the team every week amazes me

Matts daehli -
fantastic young player with huge future , under used then sold for a low fee

Casper schmeichael -
fantastic young goalkeeper now in the premier league, wouldn't stump up a very low fee to keep him permanently .

Declan John -
stormed onto the scene under Malky in the premier league now Nowhere to be seen

Joe mason -
great young striker, out on loan to a rival club in the championship could have and should have been a big player by now but hasn't been allowed to shine with a proper run of games here .

Kadeem Harris -
we've been desperate for a pacey winger who could change games , this boy was sat in the stands for 2 years :?

alot of clubs develop promising talent and make a fortune off their backs. I do feel it was a shame Ramsey didn't have a few years with us, but as what your getting at Tom, it was the right decision to leave as we somehow never manage to allow young talents to flourish!

:bluescarf: Watch our young players play in the development team.If they played against our first team, they would get a good result. Some of these lads are just 17-18 yr olds with talent, but will be left to rot in the reserves until a scout from another club spots a future star like ramsey. Why we do not give some of these youngsters a run in the first team beats me.Why wait.?

When he come back to us on loan he was brilliant

It was great to have 2 Welsh Internationals in the team with Bellamy there too, I think this should be a club aspiration personally to have Welsh Internationals playing for the club

Lets hope so Wez, the fans really like to see Welsh players in the team, Ramsey to Bellamy, top-corner Goalazo!! the best memory of Cardiff for along time that was.

If we are to stop spending fortunes on players, lets hope a crop of youngsters take their chance :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I wish I could mock them as a comedy act, but they totally ignore each-other, no chemistry whatsoever

Daehli said in his statement that he choose to go to Freiburg because they have a succesful history in developing young players.

Sensible head on his shoulders. Could have easily gone to someone like Chelsea and ruined his career. Is he the finished article? Of course he's not but he should be ahead of the likes of Ralls and Kim
