' Matts daehli joins SC Freiburg '

Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached with SC Freiburg for the transfer of Mats Møller Dæhli, subject to international clearance.



The deal will be completed on January 3rd 2015 in conjunction with the start of the transfer window.

I believe that £2M for Daehli is good business. I have never understood the hype surrounding him and apart from a few decent runs he has never imposed himself on a game and apart from being too lightweight, he lacks pace.

2 million is way too cheap .

He will be a 5/10 million pound player in the next few years IMO possibly more if he reaches his full potential .

He was underused here and when he was we did not allow him to play to his strengths like he does with Norway !

I can't believe anyone was brave enough to pay his wages and a fee for him - he hasn't been worth £2m here.

I think he will grow into a genuine top european level player. I think he will be on par with Rambo as the player who has played for us and grown into a level we havent seen.

Huge mistake, team should have been built around him.

Remember in the premier against Stoke? He out run Odemwingie with the ball at his feet. Peter had no chance catching him.

SC Freiburg are bottom of the Bundesliga and are likely to go down, he's not exactly joined a European superpower has he. He's got some talent but not enough for a Premier League club or big European club to go for him so he must have some flaws. He scored a 95th minute equaliser against West Brom and had a good game against Bolton in the cup. Don't remember much else, Once Ole went lets face it he didn't want to be here did he.

How are they likely to go down? They are 4 points of mid table mid season and building and why did he say he wanted to play here, several times after Ole left?

I agree that Daehli was too lightweight but a player of that quality and potential should at least be given a chance in another position, i thought he would have been great playing off the striker in the no.10 role. They could have even loaned him out somewhere until we got promoted (incase there was any chance of that) to build him up physically to the english game. he'd be better off in the premier league with more time on the ball. He showed quality with his first few touches when we signed him and should have been given more faith and time. Slade wouldn't know quality if it hit him in the face! He was treated disgracefully being left out of squads for pointless defensive options on the bench. I wish him all the best at Freiburg and hope he makes the club regret this decision!

he had one bad game earlier on in the season,its f*cking bonkers he cant get in our team. were playing awful football and now getting beat easily, even joe ralls gets a look in. f**k off slade.

His transfer was done as soon as solskaer was sacked,can't blame slade for this,orders from above
