Celtic are not taking up their purchase option on Norwegian attacking midfielder Jo Inge Berget, manager Ronny Deila has confirmed.

The Scottish champions snapped up the 24-year-old from Championship side Cardiff City on a loan agreement until January.

The deal also contained the option for Celtic to make the switch permanent in January, if Berget impressed.

"Jo Inge is going to leave us", Deila told Dagbladet.

"That is definite", he added.

Berget was taken to Cardiff by the club's previous manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who had also worked with the midfielder at Norwegian side Molde.

I would love it if someone beat them to it this year. Dundee united or Aberdeen for example. Would be quality.
