This looks like the only reason slade is here because as a manager he's out of his depth. I am dreading January and we could've had a half decent team had slade played our two most influential players daehli and ravel (too late). In my opinion Tan has something to do with team selection, Cala told us but it all went quiet after he was forced to appologise...

Agree about Slade. A joke.

I don't understand the direction of the club under this guy.

The only thing I can think of is like you said a cost cutting exercise.

I agree with you Malky and Blue In.
The problem, of course, in having a cheap team is, in the unlikely event of promotion a whole new team/squad would have to be bought to survive in the premiership. I honestly think, unfortunately, the only way is down from now on.

I'm worried about the "cheap team" too,,,, that is, the players Slade brings in. Fair enough, lets see how things turn out with his "own men" in the team, but I'm not confident in RS's overall ability, skills, & competency to achieve results,,,especially with his current management team, & the way the club is set up!

I thing a lot of people will soon realise what Tan plan is.
Tan wants to balance the books so the club is self sufficient so he can recoup his investment with the parachute payments over the next 2 years. After that he will sell the club at a reasonable price promoting it saying it is self sufficient. Remember his quote about leaving us in good stead? Well that's the language Tan understands.
Of course there is the other way he could go and that is pile more money into the club so we can get promoted. Well that is also how he thinks regardless of who the manager is. However although that is his logic he won't be doing that again after what Malky and Ole did in wasting his money.
I feel it is going to be a frustrating 2 more seasons but if it gets rid of Tan so be it.

Your probably right on Tans fiscal plan, but I hope he sells up a lot sooner than two or more seasons.

We don't need to worry about promotion with Slade about. I'm hoping he has enough to keep us up.

That Luke is going to be the next big question.

As I said '' in the unlikely event of promotion'' and '' the only way is down''.
