David Marshall

Very unusual for Marshall but not a good game today. His kicking was poor and I thought he could have done a lot better with a couple of the goals.

In fairness after his heroics he deserves an off day.

I don't think he could have done any better with the goals ,Brentford were queing up to score with our sunday league defending.

I didn't think he could do anything about all of the goals, but I need to watch the highlights.

Really think he could be sold soon.

You could be right. It would mean a nice earner for Tan.

Oddly, Marshall hasn't been as influential on our results as last season. It's also a wate having him as captain, as Turner seemed to be barking out orders and doing the skippers job on the pitch.

I felt he should have been sold in the summer when his value was up. He has made some cracking saves this season but also got away with quite a few flaps.

He was outstanding last season, but this year he's really disappointed me. He's not been the rock he was last year. And I've noticed quite a few teams taking random shots at him from distance these past few weeks, paying off big time for Brentford in particular today, so I'm wondering if maybe that's been picked up on as a weakness of his?

As for his kicking, that's always been awful, so hardly anything different about today :D

Think you have a good point about 'random shots from distance'.

Also think that having the responsibility of being captain doesn't help either.

I've watched the highlights now and there's nothing he could do about any of their goals.

These 'random shots from distance' are not random at all; the space the team afford the opposition is just criminal and it's no surprise they're taking shots from long range when we're begging them to do so. The quality of player in the Championship is not so low that we can afford to let that happen.

The look on his face today wasn't good, haven't seen a football player look so frustrated and angry. Must be hard going from one of the Premier League's best goalkeepers to conceding 8 goals between Bournemouth and Brentford.

Brentford's first goal was right in front of us, in the corner. The bloke who scored seemed to have about five minutes to pick his spot!

Pritchard I think it was? He controlled the first half, seemed to have a free role ad was very effective.

What I didn't like about Marshall today was the way he bollocked Kadeem Harris, a youngster making him first start but said f**k all to Gunnarson who was absolutely shocking for the first goal, give the ball away for the 2nd goal and was genuinely shit all game
