Pedestrian Football

Sat Dec 20, 2014 6:03 pm

Watching us play football is so frustrating. All of the top teams play at such a quick tempo, they make space off the ball and its one touch football. We are totally the opposite. We lack genuine pace, the passing is slow and we are easy to defend against.

Even teams like Rotherham have given us a lesson in football and particularly the last two promoted teams that we have faced, Bournemeouth and Brentford. Unfortunately we are being left behind.

Makes you wonder what they do on the training ground.
No quality high level experineced coaches at the club and same goes for our manager and assistant and i think this is showing in the games now.

agree with both comments, it seems the team is getting worse and worse the more time the coaches spend with them

We much better playing high tempo football but seem to be happy letting the opposition keep the ball and get their confidence up. Slow boring football is dictated by our slow boring midfield, Brentford cut us to pieces today a few times before they scored they played one touch football and seemed to know where their teammates would be. They seemed to play for each other we seemed happy to stroll around and not want the ball watching their players run rings round us. The back to blue or no renew will gather momentum if the football is as poor as this.
