CITY LEGENDS AT CLUB SHOP ON SATURDAY

Thanks very much to all of you who have shown such support for From Tashkent With Love, the story of City's adventures in the old Cup Winners' Cup.
Just to let you know that eight ex-Bluebirds from the club's golden era in Europe (1968-71) have kindly agreed to join me at a book signing session at the club shop before the Brentford game on Saturday.
In attendance will be Bob Wilson, Barrie Jones, Leighton Phillips, Steve Derrett, Bobby Woodruff, Richie Morgan, Graham Coldrick and Gary Bell.
As many of you will know, all of them apart from Bobby Woodruff were members of the Bluebirds squad that stunned Europe by reaching the semi-finals of the Cup Winners' Cup in 1968.
Bobby Woodruff starred in the historic first-leg win over Real Madrid in 1971 along with Gary Bell and Leighton Phillips.
Richie Morgan made his City debut against Torpedo Moscow in the incredible 1968 quarter-final play-off victory in Augsburg, marking the great Eduard Streltsov out of the game.
Bob Wilson was one of City's heroes during that run, making a series of brilliant saves in Tashkent, Augsburg and Hamburg.
We'll be in the club shop from 1.30pn-2.30pm.
Due to matchday work commitments, Gary Bell will be there from 1.45pm-2.15pm.
Hope to see lots of fans to give the guys a great welcome.

Can I thank you for an excellent book which brought back some great memories of those years when we were in Europe almost every season.

It is a book that I can heartily reccomend to any City fan, whatever their age.

Mario,its a Great Book and I highly Recommend it BUT why the Tan/Red Shop? I will never buy a thing in there and that shop is a disgrace and Our players of the past should go no where near that Red garbage.

Great line up of old players attending the book launch - in fact we could do with a few of them on the pitch at the moment!

Unfortunately, as Annis says, I won't be going into that club shop whilst it's full of the red tat and lining Vinnie's pockets.

Maybe I'll stand outside the shop and give the old boys a clap as they leave!
