My team v Brentford

Mon Dec 15, 2014 11:31 pm

Marshall

Connolly
Manga
Turner
Brayford

Harris
Adeyemi
Gunner
Witts
Fabio

Le Fondre

Effectively 4 1 2 2 1

Gunner protecting the back four. Adeyemi and Witts playing in front of him centrally. Fabio and Harris using their pace wide to support Le Fondre. That means no high ball - as Brentford would love that. Keep it on the deck!
Attack from the start. Don't be happy with just wanting to settle into the game. The team have to give something to make the fans get behind them and become vocal.

In my opinion it should be :

Best goalkeeper in the league

Strongest back 4 with players in the correct position

Adeyemi and Gunnarsson (Captain) protecting the midfield

Whittingham as a forward thinking playmaker , allowing him to shoot more from the edge of the box .

Dahlei and Noone attacking with pace supporting Le fondre up front

Marshall
brayford Manga turner Fabio
Harris ademeyi gunnerson Witts
Lefondre Jones
I would have said Guerra instead of Jones but that is not going to happen neither is not having it anything other than 4 4 2

This would be my starting line up too, but I would have a few subs (but not Macheda, please) warmed up in case Kenwynne doesn't feel like bothering. I am O.K with Fabio for home games but we are crying out for a decent left back who can defend.

Yeah, they both could play there. But I would rather give daehli a chance so we can keep him than Kim tbh.

Le Fondre as a lone striker :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:

What's even funnier is how Ole was criticised for playing one up front and you clowns want Slade too. Cardiff fans are ridiculous tbf.

Yeh, because every Cardiff fan criticised Ole for playing 1 upfront. Come on then, who would you go with?

Yeah this would be a decent team. We're getting over run in the middle at the moment

Seems similar to what most people want. Noone not performing in my opinion and should be dropped but I think most people want 4231

Maybe Harris for Daehli or Morrison for turner but I like the formation. Many teams using this, protection for the back, bodies in midfield, creativity behind the striker.... Ravel Morrison would av suited this formation well... It's a shame the journeyman doesn't know how to accommodate or adopt this type of formation.. Showing he is out of his comfort zone.

Or Whitts.

I love whitts, but matts is more mobile, and capable of opening up a defence with his passing. Would like to see what he could do if surrounded by pace and mobility in Harris and noone. Noone is kind of crap right now so ideally I would have played ravel as no 10 with matts and Harris. But that's not gonna happen is it?
Unlikely that whitts will get dropped though. But would be nice to see this team at least in a cup game.

I think Whitts has had his attacking flair beaten out of him since the DJ times. Whitts still has a cracking shot but in that formation I think we need more than that.

Could also be Harris/Noone Kim Daehli as the three.
