' Vince Alm '

I had a meeting with the chief executive Ken Choo this evening after I sent a personal email outlining my disappointments regards the decision to wear a white kit, and the continued issues that is splitting the supporter’s with the rebrand.

There were ugly scenes amongst our own supporters on Saturday at Bournemouth, with supporters exchanging abuse, violent threats, and bullying many of whom were drunk and emotional. It was sad, and disappointing to see young kids cowering and crying as their fathers were physically attacked, threatened with violence, and bullied by drunken Cardiff supporters for a variety of reasons; falling into them because they were to drunk to stand, asking them to support the team, or asking them to sit down.

I received several unsavoury comments and abuse in front of my 8 year old grandson from drunken emotional supporters, and it was the lowest I have ever felt supporting the club in all the my years since 1968.

Mr Choo has assured me the white kit will not be worn again this season unless there is a colour clash with a team whose home kit is red and Blue like Crystal Palace in the cup. He also assured me that the decision to wear the white kit was not taken by the owner Vincent Tan and there was nothing political in the choice to wear the kit.

We discussed in detail the rebrand and other topics which I believe are causing this divide among fans, loss of interest from the supporter base, and the divide that is growing between the club and its fan base, which in itself is making it difficult for supporters groups to promote the club in a positive light, and ask fans to support the team.

Ken Choo listened to everything I had to say and gave his promise to continue to work with us going forward to improve things on a more regular basis.

My opinion of Ken Choo is he is a good man who wants to make a difference and is keen to learn and listen to the fans whether he can remains to be seen but at least he is the first one in a while who is making the effort.

Great that he's listened, but I really don't think he has any input on the outcome of the next few months...

That's good at least has he said anything that's on the pitch matters? :ayatollah:

Your right no input at all and if he spoke up for us,he will end up being the 6 ex CEO in the last 4yrs.

Mon Dec 15, 2014 11:01 pm

well that is the best bit of positive news I've heard in a long while and I will wait in anticipation to see if Ken Choo keeps his word on the white kit as I don't think we will be playing any team with red and blue colours like Palace so we should of course play the remaining away games in BLUE unless the home team are of course in Blue themselves.
Thank you Vince for the info :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Totally agree.

Unfortunately Ken Choo is the monkey, not the organ grinder. No one dare tell tan how things really are for fear of getting the spanish archer, or worse.

Rob Collins The previous white kits all had the true badge and were used rarely as I recall, ultimately when our first choice was blue.
Vince I deal with South East Asians daily (China and Malaysia) and visit frequently - 4 times this year. Not blowing my own trumpet here but unfortunately the business culture of them is they simply will not say anything to your face to offend or antagonise you. Whatever your opinion of Kevin Choo I think the simple fact is at present we don't trust the regime with so many other rumours surrounding the club at present.

We'll actually i do. It's not just the season tickets Vince. Don't forget all that goes with it. Burgers & beer merchandise etc etc that will quadruple if his pockets are that deep then que sera sera.

David Keith Evans Thanks for the update, Vince. These are difficult times, but yourself, and the supporters' club as a whole, are doing great work. I hate drunken fans who bring a spirit of fear into the grounds. I believe a number were arrested Saturday. If they are STs I hope they get banned.

I believe the re-brand is responsible for most of the disenchantment and it is triggering most off now when things go wrong. Really sad.

Agree the re- branding has a lot to answer for. As i said many moons ago we could have played in pink or green and white under MM that championship season and gone up with the squad and performance that season.

All means nothing until one man changes his mind which is never going to happen.

Presumably dalaman and choo have questioned the ongoing viability of the rebrand with tan in person ?

Nope thought not.

Credit to Vince though. Our club will be destroyed if Tan doesn't listen to the fans.
Less money through the turnstiles and retail.
Who will then he stupid enough to buy our club when heavily in debt and no money coming in?

When will people realise that talking to these clowns solves nothing. We need direct action and have done for three years but I am not holding my breath that enough people are willing to 1. admit they were wrong, 2. give up the precious premiership dream.

I don't think people were wrong still attending (me being 1 of them) I've hated the rebrand from day 1 (I just couldn't bring myself to stop going), I just continued wearing my blue kit. I think what we did do wrong was not protesting at the beginning , all these groups and protests now should of been done at the beginning , instead most just turned up and seen what it was like in the red . The worst I felt was scarfgate I felt like an away fan in the stadium and it hurt me alot as to me it seemed like all the fans had ditched the blue and completely accepted the red

£4 million doesn't worry Vinnie at all, but the loss of face will............

I reckon the season tickets in the first phase will be very cheap....................

He will let the non believers leave.........

I believe it will be a tense stand off.

Playing in the white kit hoping for some commercial success shows they still care about the coin though....

Everyone hold the line

It was the clubs choice Luke and the reason was to promote the shirt. Lets be honest here but if you were alienated to the culture of Cardiff City it would make logical sense to promote something new before Christmas.

As most have been saying but our club management is totally alienated to the society called Cardiff City FC.
