Source http://www.footballsquads.co.uk/eng/201 ... flcham.htm The squad sizes are taken from here so may not be bang up to date ie Ravel Morison leaving, but are plenty accurate enough to make a point!

With the exception of Norwich the top 6 squads have a squad of 33 or less. If you follow the table downwards you can actually see the league positions improving as there are less players in the squad! It took a while to put this together as I couldn't find a table like it on line but I think it demonstrates well that bigger is not necessarily better!

As a manager I have always found that the smaller team you have the more efficiently you will manage it. If we have a cull in January and get in some better players it could equal a big turnaround! Its too much of a coincidence not to be a factor.:ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The only question is how useful is a big squad as the season progresses? :?:
