yes & left SWP out

I would have also took Bent & left Heskey out

yes and i would have taken parker instead of carrick. I went to watch man utd with my old man against munich and carrick was absolute shite

i think carrick is over rated, id rather somone like parker who shows passion and gets stuck in

England are seriously lacking a left-sided midfielder as well as a free-kick/penalty specialist. If I was Capello I would have taken Peter Whittingham.

Walcott is very overrated! 2nd touch is a tackle....

Might have took him as an impact sub when you need a plan B.

Little Theo is still living off the hatrick he scored against Croatia.

The modern day John Barnes  (remember his goal against Brazil? Did f**k all afterwards)

I would have taken Parker over Carrick and left Walcott out. He is a one trick pony as he showed in Englands friendlies. Joe Cole very good for England though.

No to Walcott and no to Wright Phillips I would have taken Adam Johnson he would have terrorised defences out there, is good with both feet and a good crosser of a ball and scores the odd tasty goal or three.

I would not of taken Walcott or SWP.

Walcott doesnt offer anything great he is just quick. SWP is alright. Nothing brillaint

I would of taken Adam Johnson. Brilliant form for Man City. Offers something different. Good on the ball and has a good cross on him.

Totally agree Chippy. SWP is too one dimensional and a bit of a headless chicken at times. Walcott never listened to Capello's instructions so that rules him out. I would definitely have taken Adam Johnson as the wildcard. He's quality in my eyes.

None of it matters though. Even the best England squad looks tame compared to half of the nations at the World Cup.

To be honest, I don't care who Capello takes, I hope England fall at the first hurdle.

Us pwoper Welsh folk shouldn't even be talking of such things. I understand why you would do so living in Newport though, thats practically England!!

As posted yesterday I was in Zagreb for the England game when he scored the hatrick and was amazing however since then his career has gone backwards - It is interesting to note that alot of people say Wenger is brilliant for developing young players but this time he in my opinion has failed

He is very good at sprinting but only when he dont have the ball, when he does it is kick and rush with no end product - Maybe capello should have got Beckham in to spend some time with Lennon, SWP, Walcott and Johnson teaching them to deliver a quality ball into the box - That would have been a good role for Beckham

Would have taken Johnson over SWP but apart from that a good squad

The only one I dont get is that he included Baines in the 30 man squad but never had any intentions on taking him due to his home sickness, surely would have made more sense to play Warnock then

Yeah I would put him in the team.

Can't believe they are sticking with Heskey. I would pick Dawson over Carragher too.

My England first 11 would be ;

Hart

Johnson-Terry-Rio-A.Cole

j.cole-barry- lampard- milner

rooney - Gerrard

Gerrard playing in the role he plays at Liverpool.

Very good team on paper.

I remember Walcott playing for Southampton against us at Ninian a few years ago. Loovens took him out early on and he vanished then for the rest of the game.

Pace is all well and good and a big part of the modern game but there has to be an end product and that's where Theo falls down.

Mind I'm not sure Lennon is much better with his crossing.
