Deal done for daehli, and ravel sent back to west ham?

Sun Dec 14, 2014 6:53 pm

Rumour going around that slade sent ravel back to west ham and a deal is already done for matts to move in January. That's why none of them were in the squad.
Any truth to this?

It should be obvious to everyone now that Daehli will be on his way. Why else would he not be in the squad? Slade isn't using him but said he will only let him go for a big fee, so it's obvious Slade rates him and would like to play him. I think Slade is under orders from Tan not to play Daehli because he wants to keep him injury free so he can sell him.

I guess, but what I heard is that a deal is already lined up, that's why he wasn't even in the squad yesterday.

I think a deal has already been lined up and Tan doesn't want to risk him playing and getting injured to scupper the deal. I see no other reason why he wouldn't be involved to be honest.

I can understand sending ravel back, his loan signing reminds me of Zaha excited me when it was announced but a massive let down,as for daehli,we are screaming out for some creativity in midfield yet we ain't playing him to sell him for what? £2-3 mill, surely playing him would give us a better chance of winning,so increasing our chances of promotion, making the £2-3mil transfer fee sound like peanuts, compared to the revenue promotion brings

I agree. If we played him you would increase his value surely? Unless the other club have made it clear they wont want him to be injured. And as you said we are crying out for a player like him. It's all very strange.

Scandalous, gonna be a rare talent in a few years and we're unloading him without giving him any real opportunities to strut his stuff.
As in Annis's post "our loss", but who's behind it?
Our team's gonna be boring, easy to play against, totally predictable and ultimately failures.
Not expecting any real talent to join us in Jan either tbh.

Yes let's get rid of all the creative players and bring in lower league journeyman to take us to league 1!!

Arguably our two best players and they can't even make the bench. Madness.

If daehli does go, I will completely loose faith in Slade. Picking Kim instead of him sat? It's just an absolute joke.

I dont rate daehli and would never make it in the championship hes way to weak not enough pace think harris is a better more direct player that would suit slades playing style more

And perhaps some on here are not using it to try and get at Slade. Perhaps they just rate him as I do!

Its the oposite. Entire football Europe rate him and recognize his talent. Except a few City fans doing their best to beat him defending Slade.

That's rubbish ,most fans can see he s got talent but just isn't strong enough for the championship

Only way I'd like to see Daehli in the team is when he's playing behind the main striker. He's not a winger for me.

Same as Ravel, sadly Slade can't find room for these two talented players even on the bench, which I find extremely bizarre. Even as a tactical change, Daehli should be in the 18.

Yet again we are letting the future of this club disappear. He may not have the physical presence yet for the championship but consider players like Giggs and Ronaldo. Were they dumped because they were not strong enough at 19? You either have talent or you don't....physical strength is something you can acquire.

If he does go I just hope they put a sell-on clause in the contract.
