" Yesterday the final straw "

Sun Dec 14, 2014 8:35 am

I was really looking forward to the game yesterday. The thought of a Saturday afternoon with my 2 older boys and watching ccfc in blue really appealed. We met the forum bus at midday in ringwood and it was good to catch up with a few familiar faces. We went to game and when we got into ground a member of bournemouths match day staff approached us and asked Tommy if he wanted to go on pitch at half time for penalty shoot out. Great start I thought. Ccfc then came out to warm up and first thing I noticed was the White shorts. Fantastic-should be in blue but in filthy white. I hate teams in white (swansea, Preston, Fulham, England etc). I then see the team sheet and yet again no recognised left back and kimbo wide right. We've got away with no left back in last few games and only kept clean sheets due to luck.

The game started and I watched in silence as my team the bluebirds lined up in white. No reason for this other than a mad dictator. Within a minute we were 1 down as our weak right side was torn apart by the cherries. Several other occasions saw kimbo fail to track his runner and we could easily have been 2 or 3 down in 20 minutes. As it was the 2nd goal came again down to poor defending. How manga was not in the starting lineup is beyond me. Then out of the blue (or was it white) Alfie gets free on the right crosses and Jones tapped in. The start of a comeback perhaps. Don't be ridiculous bournemouth go up other end and score. 3-1 half time. Tommy then goes on pitch and converts his penalty.

2nd half follows and within a few minutes Morrison reduces the deficit with a header from whitts cross. However bournemouth were incredibly quick on counter attack and before we know it its 4-2 thanks to a fantastic free kick from kermongat (he of the Leicester penalty miss in play off). Somehow thanks to poor defending we score a 3rd before bournemouth sealed victory in last minute.

To sum up we were incredibly poor defensively. Brayford must start at right back. Fabio must be left back. Manga must start. Kimbo should never play wide right. The only positive for me was kadeem Harris who was pacy and direct and looks like a great prospect. Slade is out of his depth and is clearly obeying orders from tan not to pick Daeli and Morrison. Either that or he is too weak and won't play flair players.

What really hurt though was I didn't care at the end. Normally if city lose then it destroys my weekend. Yesterday watching ccfc in white was not watching the team I can identify with. I've boycotted home games this season as I can't bear the lucky red anymore. Having been yesterday I've made the decision not to go again until we return to blue.

Cheers ccfc for some great memories.

Good post bit at the end really interested me because thats how I USED to feel after we lost a game, now I just expect and get on with my weekend. Tan should now take a good hard look at his methods because before long the fans will desert us. I will continue for the time being however the time will come when I will do the same as you

Very Sad to read Gareth,Ive known you many many years.

Tan and his arse lickers seem to be winning as they have destroyed the Soul/Passion of our fans as one by one every day we loose more good fans like yourself

Funny the ones who back Tan,actually hardly go themselves and some of the ones who led all this Red brigade nonsense actually dont care and its one big joke to them,it would of been good if we had all united as one and stood up to him,but some chose false glory over PRIDE/DIGNITY/PASSION & LOYALTY :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Gareth turn up for our future demonstrations :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

The white kit is horrid but we had a white away kit only a few seasons ago. I think people are going OTT about the white kit but that's because it's a build up of everything that's going on at the club.

why is it whatever kit we wear, blue, yellow, red, white, over the years the opposition always seem to have more players on the pitch?, and I've been saying that since about 1988 :?:

Mind you maybe it's the players, back in those days and before, you'd cocnentrate on someone who stuck out, like Alan Biley -the little short arsed pompey git, and then there was Tarki's hair, then basil - characters on the pitch that maybe I watched rather than studied the football!

ANd yes LFW for those who are about to comment! :D

I agree annis it is pathetic from the club and for no reason. I just think people are getting more and more frustrated with everything and the white kit is just another thing to add.

If we had a good manager and played some good football and won yesterday would people be as annoyed at the white kit? I'm unsure.

Luke, you are right fans are getting more and more fed up/frustrated and if we were winning it would calm a lot down, but then when they go home I think they then realise what Tan is doing to our once proud club and reality checks in :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Good post Gareth and it was class seeing you and your fab boys again. Made up for your boy getting on the pitch and not getting arrested
The white and red kit waz Vinny tw*t pissing on us from afar who is now to gutless to come to any games. We scored three times but I just didnt celebrate any of them and the fact we lost didn't bother me. But I had loads come up to me saying they agreed on my comments on good news regarding season tickets next season and being positive by Vince.
If I didnt have a season ticket I really dont think I would bother Gareth.

I never went yesterday and have not been to games for a while. (Norwich 2-4 home was the last time)
I have tried to stick with the club, but there is no spark anymore.
I listen out for results but that's about it.
I used to be able to tell you the next six fixtures. I used to be able to tell you where every one of our players came from and how much they cost.Any bit of gossip about the club I was onto straight away.
It's gone now though. There is no spark anymore.
Empty trains on match day, where there used to be a multitude of faces that I have seen on a regular basis for years. (the old guard, and not the Johnny-come-lately's)
I listened to the game yesterday, and when I heard we were playing in white It was an all time low.
I used to be on this site first thing as soon as my lap top was powered up,but I have been on the internet this morning for two hours before looking in this morning. Don't even bother with the football league show on the TV.
Sad in a big way as I have followed the club for over 40 years.
Tan has emotionally hurt and insulted so many people its hard to take it all in.
Not an attention seek post,(don't post as much anymore anyway) just telling you how I feel.
Fair play to those that stick with it, I just don't have the stomach for it.
Bloobirrds! (if there is such a thing) :(

David Bradley It's getting to the point where boycotting will make big news if done in mass numbers. I respect bluebirds in attendance or not but I fear this is only way to make tan look the idiot he is. BTID

David Bradley Breaks my heart that I chucked my s-t in after 18 yrs but truth is my kids and I missed more games last 2 seasons than any other. The promotion season and PL season id dreamed of since I was 6 wasn't worth what it cost us identity-wise. We are now in a lower league position, 4 x as much debt and wearing alien colours with a beermat for a badge than when tan started. So where the fck has tan got us? BTID

Pretty much sums up my feelings at the moment. Bought my first season ticket in 88 and was a season ticket holder when we were barely averaging 3000. This is my 15th consequtive season as a season ticket holder, but this season will definitely be my last unless we go back to blue. After this season I won't watch the team home or away until that shocking badge and red kit are consigned to the bin. Thought I could look past the red, but bit by bit it's come to the stage I can't stomach it no more. Have had a total feck full!

Peter Edwards In 47 years of supporting the Bluebirds, this ranks as the least interested i have become with my club. No City Christmas presents again this year, i used to always spend a few bob at this time of year, but i have'nt bought anything with that shit badge on, since it was introduced, or the red.
