Not closer to play offs under slade than we were under OGS

Sat Dec 13, 2014 11:03 pm

Contrary to popular opinion we aren't any closer to play offs under slade than under OGS.

We were 5 points off the playoffs in 14th position, and 7 points from 1st when Slade took over, right now are 5 points from the playoffs, and 9 points from the top.

Mmmm good stats so what you are saying under ole we was better off? :o Why not put in stats for points gained by both managers? Would be completely different picture! :laughing6:
Stats are a wonderful way to distort things.

8 Points of the top spot when Ole left, now we are 9.

Yes very true but who is 9 points ahead of us?

Oh yes they beat us today that's why they are 9 points ahead

garbage thread.

we were sleepwalking to a relegation battle under solskjaer. we had 8 points from 7 games. slades return is far superior to that. we are now in the mix and thats what slades short term goal would have been.

the next target is to edge closer to the play offs. we will not win every game, and teams will not roll over. not bad when picking up a team under performing, completely shot of confidence.

I think the point is we are not exactly improving, and that is obvious for most.

performances have been poor, but his points return is superior, and results are what he should be judged on, not what division he has come from, or whether or not he was tans appointment.

Agree with that. But most teams get a short high when a new manager comes in. I don't think we are any better than we were.
Played a couple of good games under Slade, but at this rate we are going nowhere. He is to stubborn to change things. Only my opinion.
