We did have a white kit, 2011/12 season. We also had one in the early 60's.

The Reason (in my opinion) is to sell it! Released today and used today. Why mass produce a kit that the team have never worn. It's a marketing tool (not Tans orders as some would have you believe!)

Indeed not Tans idea to wear it today.
I think your reason is correct. However I doubt it will sell at all and hopefully today was the last time we will see it.

I tend to agree with you, with Christmas sales just around the corner. But I think that this "gimmick" is going to misfire.
This seasons shirt sponsorship has been little short of shambolic, from start to finish,,,a typical cheap & poorly managed operation.
Who said we are getting Adidas next season?

Not the point being made. I actually liked the white kit 4 years ago.
We have been told our away colours will be blue as a compromise for the rebrand unless red is not going to clash with the other side. Now that is being taken away

The White kit from a few years ago had a blue and yellow trim, not red. You know Tan was rubbing our noses in it today

2011/12 we had blue shirts white shorts home, white shirts blue shorts away, essentially the proper colours in reverse. This is white with red, no reason to wear it when we have the blue kit.
