Some Questions For Slade

Every new manager deserves time to bed in and get their team playing as they want them to. However, it seems that our performances are going backwards. There are some obvious questions that we have to ask:

1. Why does Slade play players out of position?
E.g. The best right back Brayford at left back. The best left back (Fabio) on the bench and a centre half at right back!

2. Why does he ignore quality players who can open the door against tight defences. E.g. Ravel, Daehli.

3. Why did he persist with Macheda who is clearly not up to it?

4. Why does he not have a plan B?
We are so predictable with the same 4-4-2 every game, why not mix things up home and away for example or what team
that we are up against.

There will be some die hard Slade supporters on the forum that will back Slade to the hilt but these are obvious shortcomings which will eventually catch up with us. We may have been fortunate with the results up until now but recently our performances have been abysmal. The majority of fans are not happy with watching these dire performances.

They are obvious questions about his ability but some fans always back him up. Give him credit when it's due but when the team is not performing then questions need to be asked. Some fans ignore the obvious unfortunately.

Ask him in what world is it that having 3 CB'S is a good idea.

E.g. The best right back Brayford at left back. The best left back (Fabio) on the bench and a centre half at right back!

Brayford has looked just as comfortable at left back, Connolly also played right back under Malky and is good defensively although offers very little going forward. Harsh dropping Fabio but clean sheets show it wasn't a bad decision, although at home I do think we need to open up more and bringing Fabio in should be 1 of the changes

2. Why does he ignore quality players who can open the door against tight defences. E.g. Ravel, Daehli.

Ravel has been injured, although 6 minutes against Rotherham was a joke. Something is not right with Dhaeli, club claiming he's injured but he's then going off and playing for Norway

3. Why did he persist with Macheda who is clearly not up to it?

10 goals in 18 games would say Macheda is up to it, although I do agree he seemed to take ages to drop him when it was clear him and ALF didn't work together. I think if KJ was fit of available the change would have been made earlier

4. Why does he not have a plan B?

Completely agree with this. Personally think 4-2-3-1 suits our better players but he seems reluctant to play the 'flair' or skilful kind of players. Could this be because he refuses to play anything other than 4-4-2?

Yes he may turn out not to be any good but he's only been here a couple of months - give him a chance it's takes much longer than a few months for a new manager to implement his own methods/ways of playing
