POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Wed Dec 10, 2014 9:15 pm

What do you think would it make sence for supporters and its groups all to join forces for one big mass protest vs the rebrand which has killed it for so many?

Annis it's time for the leaders of this board and various supporters groups to come together again and lead the way once more, the march was too long ago now we need to keep pushing on. :bluescarf:

Since the last Protest feelings have grown stronger and more people who sat on the fence are now sat on this side of the fence. Any suggestions for which game? Has to happen.

Annis it should have been done more aggressively over the many years since it happened. Nothing really happened when we were getting promoted and something only once we stayed to struggle in the Premier.
It makes us look like we wanted his money and not morning because it hasn't gone right. The time to protest was a lot earlier. If it was another clubs if say what a cheek doing it now.

You just put a thread up saying " just leave if fans ain't happy " now you want a protest :?

100% behind a protest, it couldn't come soon enough.

My idea for a protest would be to boycott a game and protest outside during the game. That would get a lot of media coverage and should be well attended. There are also hundreds if not thousands that boycott home games every week and have no intention of returning to watch City until Tan has left and we are back playing in blue. So, if you have no intention of watching then why not protest outside when the game is on. If we protested outside during every home game and if the poor performances continue, which I believe they will, we will get more and more people joining the protest every game.

It's time to get our club back. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

As long as we get our club back, does it really matter what it makes us look like. We've already been through enough shite to last us a life time of support.

In a mass protest I mean the likes of the trust, supporters clubs along with fans and even the kitchen sink this time, it's ok them putting out they don't like what's become of the club or minutes from pointless meetings that will change nothing nore get answers . They, you, me, all come together like it should have been from the start. :bluescarf:

Yes that's correct, what's confusing about that?

My post was about the negative fans who don't want to be here, then don't!!

A protest is a positive step towards our colours club and tradition, then support the team on the pitch.

While I can see your point and your totally correct we can only move forward, you can never look back in life or you will achieve nothing. We must look forward not back.

Me and the guys have decided to vote with our feet next season but would be up for protesting. Maybe a protest threatening to boycott next season will really get the Club to notice? Just needs bods to back that idea

Some of us protested prior to the Man C game before the premiership season kicked off. Why don't we boycott the Colchester game, but march & make some noise outside the ground ? :bluescarf:

I'm sure it can be very taxing organising these things, but unfortunately I can't see where else these people are going to come from. If for example someone like myself tried to arrange something people wouldn't listen, they don't know who I am. Your in a position where you have the contacts and more importantly your voice is heard! Maybe try to bring all the supporters groups together and put any politics aside to achieve what everyone wants?

There was 5000ish at the last march, that was ONLY achieved when all the leaders/media including the echo, message boards, supporters groups, rebrand apposition groups etc. came together and use their heads as one! Since then it's gone back to headless chickens there's been no progressive plan or not one that has came into action anyway.

I've heard lots of good suggestions on this board I.e season ticket holders writing a template letter threatening not to renew next year if nothing is done, but now like many others it's just a lost thread!

I'd happily volunteer for any meeting or committee to bring forward some new ideas and make them happen as would many more I'm sure. But we can only make things happen together, EVERYONE!

The best protest is the one that takes place every week - wear blue to the game. It is a quiet but dignified protest in which all supporters old and new feel comfortable to take part. :ayatollah:

Very true.
Like I said I support a protest, only pointing out how pathetic it will make us look from the outside.

Great effort to everyone who does and if that's the limit of your comfort zone and you wish to stay in it then do so. But some of us want a more aggressive approach. I feel if we don't do more were guna be diddling around and arguing on message board for ever. Forget about what we should have done, we need to be heard.

Pointless worrying about the outside as we already look pathetic from the outside Luke.
