' Burnley want Cardiff's Star player in January '

Burnley would appear to have West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison on their radar with a view to bringing the 21 year old to Turf Moor on loan in the January window. According to the Daily Mirror, Burnley are interested but face a challenge from fellow relegation-threatened strugglers, Leicester City.

Morrison's West Ham career so far has been less than impressive to be honest and his form on loan to Cardiff City this season has also been criticised. It could be a big risk therefore to take a chance on the underperforming player. In his defence though, he has been plagued with injuries of late so if they have now settled down he could realise his full potential playing for a top flight club.

The England U21 international started his career of course at Manchester United after coming through their youth system. Morrison signed on as a first-year scholar in 2009 and turned professional in February 2010, on his 17th birthday. He made his first team debut in a 3-2 League Cup win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in October 2010 after coming on from the bench to replace Park Ji-Sung. He never broke into the first team though and failed to make a league debut. In January 2012, Morrison signed for West Ham United on a three-and-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee and has since made just 18 appearances for the clubs more often than not being hived out on loan. He has had loan spells at Birmingham and Queens Park Rangers as well as Cardiff over the last couple of years and looks likely to go out on loan again since he doesn`t currently appear to be in Sam Allardyce`s plans.

In addition to recent poor performances on the pitch he also seems to have suffered from perceived attitude problems both at Old Trafford and Upton Park, a situation that may well have hindered his career. It sounds like if Sean Dyche is interested in taking him on it could be a huge gamble both on and off the pitch.

Not surprised ravel will be going back to the PL. Could see someone coming in for Fabio too.

Not surprised either. A quality player who could have done a lot for us but was never given the chance.

After a brilliant debut when coming on as a sub against Sheffield Weds he has been ignored and not given a look in. After his 5/6 mins against Rotherham as a sub on Sat Slade told Walesonline that he was disappointed with his performance along with Kimbo's. He has to be having a laugh having only brought him on in the 84th minute!

I Personally think we would be silly to let Ravel go ,we should keep him and take him under our wing. This guy has loads of potential just waiting to be tapped into.

The word star is used very loosely nowadays.
How about underachiever ?

Thought it was going to be Marshall ???

He's not even our player, and not considered a star here really as hadn't played........

Good luck to him, although I doubt he will ever reach his potential, attitude is as important as ability in football, maybe more important.....

Sorry, but Ravel hasn't done much and as for Fabio, he is not a full- back. Yes, our star is Marshall and that's it.

Yupp. Get rid of our potential PL players, and replace them with someone from lower leagues or Scotland.

You must have missed his performance at Blackpool when he played the full game and was anonymous then. The game passed him by and he was deservedly dropped the following game.

First of all if one bad performance is all it takes. All our midfielders and strikers should have been dropped by now.
Secondly, His team mates hoof the ball, ravel can't get in the game. Same thing happened to matts a few times this season. They are players that need the ball on the ground and they need to get on the ball a lot. When they played together they were both brilliant, transformed the way we played. Best 30 minutes of football all season. Ideally you play them together. You can't just put one flair player in the team, surround him with workhorses that isn't as quick witted and expect him to do everything on his own. He needs to play with players on his wave length. Players like matts and ravel see things before the other players and when they act on it, invariably the other players aren't on their wavelength.

It seems a perpetual problem with city and forwards, not setting team up to help get best out of them! They can only do well if they get right possession.

But it's not just one bad performance is it? Ravel looked great on his debut but has done very little since and he's a luxury player we can't afford to carry. I also have no idea how you can think Ravel and Daehli can play in the team without workhorses around them. Who do you think is going to win the ball for Ravel and Daehli if there are no workhorses in the team?

I remember Malky playing a midfield 4 of Kerim Frei, Whittingham, Cowie and Noone away to Charlton. Cowie was the only player capable of doing the donkey work to win the ball back. It was a suicidal selection and Charlton put 5 goals past us. Ole has tried your attacking style of flair players with Zaha and Daehli on the wings last season and once again, we shipped goals. When are people like you going to learn?

Generally that's what I have been saying you cannot play certain players in same team as no defensive capabilities unless of course Slade changes formation! :o

He was injured after the Blackpool game so there's not much that could have been done. He also doesn't suit 4-4-2 like most of our better players
