Heard a whisper today he will be leaving on loan in next 3 weeks. Wigan looking like his likely destination to link up with former boss Mackay. He's also been talking to Bolton but more likely will end up at the DW stadium.
Personally dun think this is the right move for Dec at this time in his career. But he needs first team football and obviously slade isnt going to use him even as a winger so all the best to him wherever he ends up.

Absolutely no way we will have anything to do with Wigan. And I don't think Malky is daft enough to even approach us in the first place.

i think john is a good player, and its always good to have local lads in the team.

but at the same time slade prefers brayford at LB ahead of him, so it seems that if he wants first team football he must go out on loan. it would make sense to go to wigan but as others have said recent events have soured relations.

i think johns long term future is here, but it can't do him any harm to get a few games under his belt for a couple of months

It's probably best for Declan's career that he gets out of the circus and finds some first team football somewhere. He might have to drop a division initially but he needs playing time in a more stable environment if he is to progress.

Hmmmm Declan did not agree with Malky's decision to play him as a defender instead of a winger. So would be interesting if he went there.
