Fabio has been our player of the year, without question. Baffles me that he's been dropped.

Agree, how many man of match displays this season... How many bad games? Whitts and Gunnar have been shit sometimes, yet still play. Alienating a quality player & replacing him with a right back?. Insane......

Despite rumours circulating in the UK that Cardiff City’s Kagisho Dikgacoi has been ruled out for the season, the player himself says that’s not the case.

The 30-year-old midfield man, who signed for Cardiff from Crystal Palace at the end of last season, has had a tough time since his move to Wales, and his problems were worsened further when he picked up a hamstring injury.

Now, after reports that he would not feature for the Bluebirds again this season, the Bafana Bafana international has informed the Siya crew that this is not the case.

KG explained, “I’m not out for the season, I should be able to get back to training at some point in February.”

With the player expected to return to training in February, it could be a few weeks after that when he makes his return to action depending on his personal recovery time.

Cardiff are currently 9th in the Championship table after 20 games and will be hoping that, with KG’s return next year, they can make a good push for the playoff places and an automatic return to the Premier League following their relegation last season.

I know it's not saying much, but our best spell on Saturday was when Fabio came on, and Brayford moved to right back. No disrespect to Matt Connolly, but his best position is central defence.

To be fair, all three of the above have shown a great attitude this season :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Fabio has been one of the bright lights in a very dim period, " All we are saying is give Fabio a chance" could be the makings of a chant there!

I'd play Fabio on the wing opposite Noone...

Since he had been dropped we have started to keep clean sheets. Perhaps we should play him instead of Pilkington? He is too much of a liability as a full back.

Very disappointed he has been dropped but I do respect Slade's decision, it took courage to do that and we have stopped conceding lots of goals

Fabio must be tried as a winger at least. I would've given Cala a chance as a defensive midfielder as well...bit late now!
