I feel sorry for Slade

Mon Dec 08, 2014 9:26 am

This is his break into the big time (Ok, semi big time) and you can see all unraveling in front of your eyes.

IMO, Tony Pulis would have failed as would a host of all other well known managers

Tan has lost interest in this project
We have lost interest in Tan's project
Its dying a slow tortuous death
It has transmitted throughout the club

The players know this, those who can bail, will bail.....

Leaving poor old Russell Slade who i believe could do a decent job in different circumstances looking weak and unable to motivate the group.

Not sure how this saga ends... But I am Kairdiff through and through and I don't give a toss at the moment !!!!!

You are entitled to your opinion. But our average points per game tally since Slade took over is good. So far Slade is doing a good job. The game on Saturday was very poor but things will improve when Pilkington, Fabio and Manga all start together, three players who I believe were missed on Saturday. Ravel Morrison should have been used after about 60 mins if not from the start but I wouldn't crucify Slade over that.

At 53 there is a reason Slade hasn't managed at a higher level than Div 2 in all of his career

Tan wanted a grateful puppet and Slade happily accepted

Once Again just your opinion. His age would suggest experience. Football is a simple game, many top managers started out in lower league football. Slade will get us in the play off positions this season, is my opinion.

While the second sentance is my opinion the first sentance is a fact,

Whilst I agree with parts of what you say I didn't not feel Slade will get us in the top 8. Experience maybe but not good enough for anyone to take a punt on him in over 20 years doesn't strike me as a diamond in the rough who has been missed.

Fabio has been dropped so not sure why you think he will come back in. Someone made a good point yesterday regarding Manga/Whitts. He said Manga is happy coming out of defence with the ball allowing Whitts to stay further upfield whereas at the moment he is dropping deep to get the ball from Turner/Morrison.

Although we have been keeping clean sheets, we are missing Manga because of the above reason IMO

fans are taking their frustration about the ownership out on the manager.

you have to feel for slade, but he would have known the situation he was stepping into. many on here were hoping he'd fall flat on his face, but he's done an excellent job in the circumstances.

i just hope he doesn't look to league 1 for signings in january! :ayatollah:

I think he will come back in because he gives us a bit of pace when coming out of defence and links well with the players in front of him. He tackles well and shows tenacity. This was lacking Saturday.
