' Mat Daehli, Ravel Morrison,Declan John and Fabio? '

Ive chosen these 4 players as they dont seem to figure in Russell Slades plans?

Yes they are 4 of my favourite players and I believe they would all start in any Championship team :thumbright:

For me they are the type of players we are missing and should be playing and I dont mean for 5 minutes.

Opinions please? :thumbright:

Definitely agree, I was only saying during the game on Saturday. How can we leave out creative players like Daehli and Morrison, also Fabio has class and experience. Declan needs to play more to get the experience but will turn into a top player in years to come.

Yes most creative but I believe daehli and whitts cannot play in same side playing 442 both lack defensive qualities! Same goes for Fabio,
Morrison not sure about! basically its the 442 system that is the problem with starting the 4 of the them. All managers have style of play (malky case in point) not sure if all 4 are Slade's type players, after all none of the players in squad are his, but i would love to see all 4 in team playing flexible 451

three of them four will not be here january and Declan needs a loan move with less pressure on him.

Would you stay if you had a resale value ? We boo'd a team for a home draw, the fans barely muster a song, you'll be on your 4th manager bu the end of the season.

Re: ' Mat Daehli, Ravel Morrison,Declan John and Fabio? '

Declan has played in the premiership as many others have not, but I think he is not great at defending but please give him a go on the wing as he has pace and is not scared to take a player on saomething we are missing. even though the game was poor it was nice seeing Kimbo taking players on and I think Noone will be back at this best soon

Re: ' Mat Daehli, Ravel Morrison,Declan John and Fabio? '

Mon Dec 08, 2014 9:55 am

Fabio was the stand out player for us this season. Yes he is more of an attacking wing back than a defender but against teams like Rotherham we need to attack not defend. The way he was playing i thought someone would come in for him january.

For me Slade doesn't like skill in his players. Evidence by the players mentioned not featuring.

Re: ' Mat Daehli, Ravel Morrison,Declan John and Fabio? '

Mon Dec 08, 2014 10:32 am

Fabio yes, ravel yes, daehli- possibly, John Nooooo way

Re: ' Mat Daehli, Ravel Morrison,Declan John and Fabio? '

I don't understand playing brayford at left back to get connolly into the team.

Even in Slades early games Fabio was consistently our best player. So why has he been dropped?. I've said before that slade prefers british players, even if they are worse than the foreign. He better not be sold.

As for the other 3, I would play definitely play them more. Declan was making great progress and was class in our promotion year.

BTW I sit quite close to the dugout and Daelhi did not look happy whatsoever when he got told to sit down after warming up near the end. One of the coaches had a word with him and he was shaking his head. Not a big deal but he isn't happy.

THIS IS THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME I HAVE AGREED WITH ANNIS!!

THESE FOUR ABOVE ARE THE ONES TO GET CARDIFF MOVING, CLASS, PLAY FOOTBALL THE RIGHT WAY, BUT HAVE WHITTS/GUNNERSON PLAY BEHIND THEM HOLDING. WE NEED SLADE TO KNOW RIGHT NOW. LET'S HAVE A VOTE GUYS!!!! (NICE ONE ANNIS)

Re: ' Mat Daehli, Ravel Morrison,Declan John and Fabio? '

Mon Dec 08, 2014 10:50 am

I totally agree Annis. Add Guerra to that lot and we could have a very good, entertaining and winning team.
C'mon Slade sort it out!!!

You notice Martyn giving out orders to Matts and Rav? Odd seeing our goal keeping coach setting up.

i'd stick ravel and fabio in. they are two quality footballers.

i dont understand shifting brayford to left back at all. i have a horrible feeling slade will purge the squad of players like that, but i hope he doesn't.

OK play 4 of them but what will we lose in our defensive capabilities? Can't have cake and eat it! As something will have to give or do people actually believe we will be defensively as good with them playing in same team? Will be like ole setup

For me, Fabio should start an then either Ravel or Dhaeli should start as well. Don't really think John is up to it and should go on loan. If Slade is going to stick to 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 as he changed too Saturday then I would go

Marshall

Brayford manga turner fabio

Noone Gunnarson Whitts Dhaeli

Agree apart from John. I think we have far better full backs at the club and while I would like to see him tried as a winger i think Kadeem Harris is just as good in that position, if not better! For me he is way down the pecking order and needs to go out on loan and play.

Looks good to me. Manga is by far our best defender. Under his absence, it has been far easier for the opponents to use the room between their strikers and their midfield. Manga is very good at pushing out to cut off this possibility. Not sure though, if I would prefer Turner as his companion. Personally, I like a more playing center half and I still think Connolly has done nothing to be pushed out of his favorite position.

Spoke to a few who think it should be Manga and Connolly. IMO though there will be a good balance between Manga and Turner. 1 right footer and 1 left. 1 comfortable on the ball while 1 is dominant in the air and is a 'no nonsense' defender

Without a doubt 3 of them should be starting.

To be honest I dont think a lot of John, I said at the start of the season id have loaned him out.

Not really egg and chips type players so will not feature. It would be interesting to see how many of these would have featured in a Pullis team if he had come, what do you all think ????

Re: ' Mat Daehli, Ravel Morrison,Declan John and Fabio? '

Mon Dec 08, 2014 4:55 pm

Agree, John being the 1 least likely to play in my side. But defo thought Morrison was having a mare 1st half and would like to seenhim get sswapped for fabio and moved connolly into central position. Also matts and ravel could of featured by 60mins

One aspect of Pulis is he gets players working like you never thought they had it in them. Chamakh was a revelation under Pulis when beforehand, he had a rep for being lazy

Agree 4-4-2 is the problem which makes slade the problem.

The problem I see with 442 is no creativity with players used other than noone, also champ is not good for 442 as teams press up to much so we always conceding possession! Stats bear that out.

It's a dinosaurs formation, especially as rigid and as basic as we play it.

Who even players a 4-4-2 like us now? It's madness when you consider all the players being left out because they don't fit.

yes my point always as been that you cannot play daehli and whitts together in 442 so need to get rid of it asap! maybe then will we see more attractive play without losing defensive stability :old:

Re: ' Mat Daehli, Ravel Morrison,Declan John and Fabio? '

Mon Dec 08, 2014 8:54 pm

Ravel and Daehli don't really fit the formation we play. Though Ravel is good enough that he should be in it anyway.

Fabio should be in there too, but I don't rate John.

Daehli should get in easily just behind the main striker, but I'd play Noone and Pilks ahead of him on the wings.
