Jason Koumas

Talking about him yesterday for ages, then I see he scored for Tranmere. One of the most gifted players I seen at the city. Two great feet, as technically gifted as you could get with pace and was also strong. Brilliant for is first time out but his head was never right.

Does show how week this division is when you think he was with a patched up mid table cardiff. Could play with his eyes shut in this team and do a better job.

One of the best players I've seen down the City, every time he picked up the ball or lined up a free kick I just expected something to come from it. Use to glide past players like they weren't there without being blessed with real pace IMO, technically one of the best we've had and something he didn't really get enough credit for was his class work rate.

Could do with him in top form for the City and Wales right now. Don't think he ever really fulfilled his potential maybe his gambling hindered him a little.

Most gifted player ever wore a City shirt, by a country mile! Definitely not a Young- Slade player

The much maligned Dave Jones got the best out of Koumas. And Bothroyd, and Chopra,...........all on a shoestring budget.

Give Slade a chance, otherwise bring back Dave Jones. And I'm not joking!

Dave Jones was asked but wasn't interested in the position with two others contributing.

Yes, he was good on the ball but "by a country mile" ?

Either a bit deluded or too young to remember the likes of Dave Bennett, Ian Gibson, John Buchanan, John Toshack, Tony Evans, Ron Healey(although keepers may not count), Willie Anderson, and many more, all very skillful, even old man Jimmy Floyd Cash in the bank !!

Agreed Koumas was yet another who spoiled his own potential - could have been a Wales great.

Bloooobirds Forever !! :old: :D :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Agree with Dave Bennett & Ian Gibson mate but not the rest. Especially Jimmy Floyd by the time he came here!!
