' Russell Slade yet to decide on Ravel Morrison loan '
Cardiff City manager Russell Slade says he has not yet made a decision regarding the futures of midfielders Ravel Morrison and Kim Bo-Kyung.
South Korea international Kim, 25, made his first league start and Morrison came off the bench in Saturday's 0-0 draw against Rotherham United.
Morrison is on loan from West Ham until after the Boxing Day match away against Charlton Athletic.
"We'll make a decision on that in due course," said Slade.
Ex-Manchester United trainee Morrison, 21, has made four substitute appearances for Cardiff since Slade took over in October.
His appearance against the Millers was his first since the Bluebirds' 3-0 defeat away at Bolton on 4 November.
Kim meanwhile earned his first start under Slade after impressing for the club's under-21 side on Monday.
Slade, who was asked if Kim has a future at the club, said: "We've still got a little bit of time before the January window."
With injured winger Anthony Pilkington (hamstring) out for three to four weeks, the Cardiff boss says there is an opportunity for players to stake a claim for the Republic of Ireland international's shirt.
"Kim Bo...really won the shirt with the way he played on Monday and the way he trained this week," said Slade.
"He claimed that shirt so we'll wait and see if he did enough to hang onto it.
"Obviously Kim Bo got the shirt but it's an opportunity for someone to grab it."
Cardiff failed to win at home for the first time in six matches against newly promoted strugglers Rotherham on Saturday.
Italian striker Federico Macheda had the Bluebirds' best and only real chance of the match, but his shot was saved by Millers' goalkeeper Adam Collin.
Despite the lack of creativity, Cardiff recorded their third clean sheet in four matches and are now two points off the Championship play-off places in ninth.
Their next game is away to third-placed Bournemouth on Saturday, 13 December.
"That will be a difficult game for us," said Slade.
"But sometimes when those games come along we show what we are capable of as we did last week against Watford."

Give the lad a chance.
If he's fit enough now he has to be starting games to give him a chance to influence the outcome.
Don't just stick him on with 7 minutes to go and expect miracles.

No chance, he'll be going to a large Premiership club

Class player, no doubt but why do so many top Managers not want him in their squads.............
If he wanted too he could easily be at a top premier league club playing week in week out, but will he ???
Theses days it seems attitude is more important than ever to Managers, they are going more on reports and dossiers on attitude and the effect on the group than the players ability.....

Don't think it's up to slade to decide about ravel. He's a west ham player. Clubs wants their younger players to have loan moves where they get games. He doesn't get games here so I can see him going to a different club.

Give him 90 mins then decide,

Of course we should keep Ravel (if we can). For me, we should also play Manga and (most of the time) Daehli.
These players (along with Marshall and Noone) have a touch more class than most. Like they say form is temporary but class is permanent.
You also need players who will show fight and passion ......and imho that is not KJ. If we look back to an earlier thread about Kenwynne Jones I said that he is too lazy and lacks consistancy of performance. I stand by that. But iit looks like Slade is going
To persist with him. Over the season he will promise more than he delivers and so will the team. But I am also concerned at our other goalscoring options.
I pray that in the second half of the new season that we still have Daehli Ravel and Manga and (hopefully) a new goalscorer who works hard and puts himself about.
At present it is all to play for. RS has shown that he can organise a team. If He is now able to choose the best players, and motivate them,I think we can make the play offs. But its a big IF and time will tell.

I thought his contract is up this summer and they just want rid of him.

Obviously he has quality but his fitness has been a issue here. If fit yes like to keep him but don't think we can afford another large wage hanging on side lines. Also anyone else think he looked chunky yesterday?

Keep them both, but play them. Why leave them on the bench.
