Expectation

Is it just expectation that is costing us points against the so called easier teams? If I was doing a job and somebody told me I shouldn't mess it up and I knew I would get loads of abuse if I did I'm sure that would go against me.Lets hope it doesn't cost us against Rotherham!

There is a tendency to take your foot of the gas for the easier teams. That is the downfall.
When I'm told in my job to not mess it up, get it done like it is usually high profile. So I up my efforts. For the not so high profile I tend to relax and take it easy. Sometimes too easy I end up making it difficult for myself.
The answer is treat each game equally.

Expectation is a major factor behind the miserable mood of our fans. Thanks to the 'best squad ever' boasts and collecting of players, many fans think we just have to turn up to win and then get impatient when we aren't 3 0 up after 20 minutes. The Rebrand doesn't help, but expectation is a big big factor as lots expected us to walk it

True, as City fans we should know by now, if we are expected to win, we either make it hard or lose. Today is a really big test, they will make it hard, defend in numbers and try and unsettle the crowd and turn us against out team. Usually that tactic works, it won't be long before you hear of fans screaming at the players to feckin shoot or get stuck in. It will be an interesting game, let's hope we can take an early lead ........
