' RAVEL MORRISON IS SET TO LEAVE CARDIFF CITY '

Thu Dec 04, 2014 11:16 pm

Thursday 4th December 2014

West Ham plan Ravel Morrison transfer in January once his wash-out loan spell at Cardiff ends.

The 21-year-old has been battling injury and started just once for the Championship side but the Hammers hope a Prem team facing relegation will take him

Ravel Morrison will be touted about to Premier League strugglers in January.

Morrison is set to return to West Ham after a nightmare loan spell in the Championship with Cardiff.

The former Manchester United starlet has made little impression and could even head back to the Hammers early after making just one start.

Morrison, 21, has been plagued by a long-term knee injury in Wales. But the Irons still plan on offering his services and sending him straight back out.

Burnley and Leicester were among the clubs to show interest at the start of the season.

And they could move again with both goal-shy sides eyeing an injection of quality in attack.

much better to suggest that players who dont suit the system and the general team ethic will be shown the door, rather than just presuming that slade doesnt know what to do with anyone with a bit of skill

brilliant amounts of quality, but not a single manager has been able to get it out of him for a decent amount of time.

he's that good he could play out of position and still play to a high level.

its injuries that have stalled his progress, its nothing to do with russel slade. if we don't keep him, another team will happily take him and he could shine if he stays injury free.

Exactly!

Very good player with bags of potential, really could have been a big player for us this year, I'm gutted he didn't fulfill that

You raved more about him. But I agree he's a good football player, If he had the minutes, he would be top assist and goal scorer.

Let's face it, he'll be costing a fortune.

he was bought in by Solskjaer during his 'I'll sign any good player, but I've got no idea where they will fit in' period.

He's a talented player, but why we brought him in when we've got enough lightweight, attack minded midfielders who are good enough at this level- Whittingham, Noone, Daehli, Pilkington, made no sense.

Same as a lot of the signings.

That's 4 down now - 3 only recently brought in - Bergstaller, Digkachoi (injured again)and now Morrison, that's not forgetting Daehli who may well be on his way out.
Cala is the 4th, who would have cost a shit-load in signing on fees and wages.

What a colossal waste.

You are right, we don't know how to accommodate quality or skilful players as we don't know how to change and come up with a system to suit... We can only play 442 so that alienates any quality playmakers immediately....

I don´t think this was Ole´s signing as he arrived after Ole left. And also I remember Ole made it clear he was not looking to sign Ravel.

If fergie, sam and Harry struggle with him considering they've had everyone from cantona, di canio and dugarrey, slade is on a losing battle.

Someone will keep taking a chance but he's heading down the club s not up

He did arrive after, but it was all lined up before that.

Could well be one that was inspired by someone else at the club though (QPR and West Ham links...) :?:

Burnley would appear to have West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison on their radar with a view to bringing the 21 year old to Turf Moor on loan in the January window. According to the Daily Mirror, Burnley are interested but face a challenge from fellow relegation-threatened strugglers, Leicester City.

Morrison's West Ham career so far has been less than impressive to be honest and his form on loan to Cardiff City this season has also been criticised. It could be a big risk therefore to take a chance on the underperforming player. In his defence though, he has been plagued with injuries of late so if they have now settled down he could realise his full potential playing for a top flight club.

The England U21 international started his career of course at Manchester United after coming through their youth system. Morrison signed on as a first-year scholar in 2009 and turned professional in February 2010, on his 17th birthday. He made his first team debut in a 3-2 League Cup win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in October 2010 after coming on from the bench to replace Park Ji-Sung. He never broke into the first team though and failed to make a league debut. In January 2012, Morrison signed for West Ham United on a three-and-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee and has since made just 18 appearances for the clubs more often than not being hived out on loan. He has had loan spells at Birmingham and Queens Park Rangers as well as Cardiff over the last couple of years and looks likely to go out on loan again since he doesn`t currently appear to be in Sam Allardyce`s plans.

In addition to recent poor performances on the pitch he also seems to have suffered from perceived attitude problems both at Old Trafford and Upton Park, a situation that may well have hindered his career. It sounds like if Sean Dyche is interested in taking him on it could be a huge gamble both on and off the pitch.
