' Cardiff City's Kagisho Dikgacoi ruled out for the rest of the season '

There's more misery for the South African star as Bluebirds boss Russell Slade says he won't be fit until next year
Kagisho Dikgacoi, the player signed by Cardiff City to take over from midfield enforcer Gary Medel, has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
South African international Dikgacoi turned down the offer of a new Premier League contract with Crystal Palace to join the Bluebirds, but his season has gone horribly wrong.
Dikgacoi has been hit by a number of muscle injuries and is still in the treatment room at Cardiff’s Vale of Glamorgan Resort training ground.
“The earliest we expect him back training in the group will be February and from that stage we need to start building up on his match fitness,” said manager Russell Slade.
“That can’t be rushed and we’ll see how he progresses, but it may be that he needs to build towards a full return and then go through the full pre-season work next summer.
“Our medical staff are helping Kagisho on his recovery, but he is some way from being ready.”

Dikgacoi was full of enthusiasm when he signed for Cardiff, but his move has gone wrong from the moment he had a visa problem which ruled him out of City’s pre-season tour to Austria. He has struggled to reach peak fitness since, a number of niggling injuries keeping him out of action before a more major hamstring problem.
The midfield dynamo, who has made 54 international appearances for South Africa, has played only 74 minutes of Championship football, coming on from the substitutes bench against Wolves away and starting at Fulham before going off after 59 minutes.
He had made just one pre-season appearance, playing 60 minutes at Yeovil, but he has not been 100 per cent match fit at any stage.
Dikgacoi completed 90 minutes during City’s 3-2 Capital One Cup win at Port Vale.
The South African, 30, has committed to the Bluebirds until 2017 and he aims to be back and ready for action at the start of next season.

It most certainly has, & talking to Palace fans he was an average Championship player at best.
Another OGS misfit.

I don´t think you could just go ahead and do that. Terminating a contract because a player is injured. Not a sweet thing.

It has been done before, especially if we could reach an agreement with the player.. No point in keeping him, paying him xxx amount a week plus the medical costs.. Really can't see him featuring for city next season either.
