Reduced the price of their season tickets for next season?
Mon Dec 01, 2014 8:57 pm
If so, then respect to them. Putting us to shame in every aspect of running a club.

Does it matter what other clubs do? There are another 71 league clubs fans complaining about prices they haven't reduced there's!!

as for Swansea they can afford to do it and they are assuming they are an established premier club? And why at 1st sign people slag off this club !!

Annis don't you think most other fans sat same thing? Yes to high no disputing that, take look at Torquay's see what they pay? No haven't got one and doubt be ever able to get one for several reasons!
Mon Dec 01, 2014 10:44 pm
Credit where it is due. Jaxx have reduced the prices after holding them for a while. Why can't CCFC see the sense of dropping the ante to fill the stadium more?
That would also allow more on-the-day reductions without disadvantaging ST holders. Why are we charging PL prices for Championship football?? Going down should have triggered a reduction, not a price freeze.
Yet again, the punters are held to blame for things out of their control.
To any club who drops the price during times of austerity: WELL DONE!

South Wales is a poor area Allan and in the Ninian Stand its currently where I sit £399 Price Freeze, No Price Freeze £549 for Championship football, thats a lot of money. What about the main Grandstand thats much more expensive.

Allan you are right. It used to be a rite of passage to take your youngster to a football game. Now it is becoming a major investment, especially if you have to travel (I know you have considerable distances to cover).
I am gobsmacked that despite dwindling numbers, the club is still considering removing the freeze. I would rather see a full stadium with cheap tickets because of the atmosphere and other revenue for the club and the city.
I don't want to compare us to them up the road, but any club that makes it easier for fans to afford it deserves credit. In fact, they could easily raise the prices and still fill that small place. Lol.
It looks like some proper lifelong Bluebirds are about to be priced out by around a 50% price hike?? Having a laugh at the lot of us. Shame on the board and shame on the billionaire for getting rid of lower paid employees at the same time as grabbing door receipts.
All credit to the 1,100 who were away for the victory. Pity they have to spend so much to support a club that doesn't support them. Let's just remember they are BLUEbirds and always will be.

Smallest stadium in the Premier League with tickets hard to come by and they're reducing ticket prices? If anything it just sounds stupid from a marketing point of view! Fair play to them though if it's true for thinking about the fans, something Cardiff City can learn from

If they are going to lower their prices well it is making them a unique club.
This goes against any business practice. They are doing very well for what they are so it is more of a surprise they have not raised their prices. To be honest this makes me wonder if the revenue from the fans is that important compared to the revenue from the other resources. I look at the German model that has low season ticket prices and to me it looks like the Jacks are going to follow suit. The German football clubs rely on outer revenue sources but appreciate the need to keep their stadiums full.
Keeping the stadiums full bolsters local businesses. Providing the clientele are civilised this can only help the area. A successful football club can certainly bring prosperity to an area and this is one of the reasons why I believe the taxman would have got his money when he came calling.

Aren't they building a 6000 seat extension ? Dropping prices should guarantee they fill it and also pick up support from areas where new fans would normally have come to us.
It's a threat to CCFC and Given our club did the opposite I'm not confident that with Tans influence we will respond the right way
Tue Dec 02, 2014 7:52 am
If prices don't go up then its £549 for me and we don't even know come Feb when I have to pay what League we will be in yet next season !!! That's where CCFC going wrong , making us pay way too early in the current season without even knowing what standard we will be watching next season .
Tue Dec 02, 2014 8:42 am
It is true they are reducing their prices.
Cardiff need to do the same
Tue Dec 02, 2014 10:02 am
Drop our prices by half therefore selling out for every game . The atmosphere will be electric with a full house. The players would pick up their game. The club shop would make more money. But our club haven't got any COMMON SENSE.

Mmmm as previously discussed for medical reasons I cannot travel often enough to warrant ST I missed premier through this even though was ST holder in premier stand before that! Hope this clears it up for you?
Annis was just asking if I got one he knows I haven't.
PS been city fan 44yrs OK?
Tue Dec 02, 2014 10:57 am
Don't care what our prices are next season. Still red then I ain't renewing.
Tue Dec 02, 2014 11:15 am
Respect to them if true. Obviously this could have been a forced upon decision as they must have done a lot of grovelling and begging for the bigger extension as they got offered 1,500 and nothing more so they must used this idea as a chance to get the larger extension. Swans fans will continue to see what I say on their extension as BS but I have no reason to make up things about this.
Tue Dec 02, 2014 11:17 am
fans here are now seen as customers to be fleeced. for that reason price decisions will be made on whether its profitable to reduce prices for fans. no reductions in price will be made for the sake of fans finances thats for sure
