Attacking Midfielder

Mon Dec 01, 2014 8:34 pm

Noticed In the team we are still lacking a midfielder attacking the heart of the defense. Gunnarsson has played more defensively for Whitts to roam further forward but at the moment it seems like he is sitting back and just doesn't have the speed to get forward.

In my opinion our biggest loss this summer was Mutch. He is exactly what we're missing now, a strong figure in the midfield who loves to go forward and attack the defense. Even though we are going forward and scoring goals, we would be scoring twice as many if we had someone like Mutch in our ranks.

What is he doing now? Playing for 5 minutes at the end of the game for QPR, he is a quality player and deserves to be playing first team football whether it was for us or another team.

If anyone needs to see what we are missing... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC1sCKqpyN0 :sad7:

Mutch has just come back from injury as far as I understand. Which, is why he would have only played a few minutes on the weekend.

We have at least 3 skilful attacking midfielders but Slade appears not to want them as he plays 2 up front.

I think what we need ideally is someone who is an attacking midfielder who can score goals but who is also a complete midfielder box to box has got a turn of pace and is hard working and gets stuck in.
This is what we are missing imo

Have you only just noticed this ? It's been obvious all season. Almost as obvious as the need for a proper defensive left back.

20 goals this season would be useful!
