Absolutely nothing wrong with that, all players start somewhere! Do you remember the uproar when we signed Mark Delaney from Carmarthen?? Paul Parry did a job also.

Brentfords lower league carthorses seem to be doing alright this season.

Slade seems to know what he wants, it will be really interesting this window ....

Brentfords lower league carthorses seem to be doing alright this season.

2) We have Harris (who certainly deserves his chance) & Burgstaller & Daehli
3) Don't think we are going to get a goalscorer from league 1 or 2 that would be better than we have
4) We have Fabio & John as cover. How many do we need.

Pretty much agree to this. I don´t really see that our squad needs strengthening. Maybe a full-back in case of injuries.

1. A good left back who is solid in attack and defence like brayford so we can then put brayford back to right back.
2. A new winger to offer competiton to noone and pilkington because i dont see slade giving daehli or anyone else in the squad a chance.
3. A hard working box to box midfielder who can score goals.
4. A clinical goalscorer (maybe this could be alf but jury is still out at the moment)

Agree with this. Not so much worried about Alf though. More concerned about getting a striker instead of Jones and Macheda. In fact anyone instead of Macheda, even the tea lady..

A nice list. The question is if we´ll get any better alternatives than we´ve already got -unless Tan pulls out his checkbook again. Burgstaller, Harris, Dæhli, Kimbo (and even Berget) - will there be any better available for a cheep price in the January window? From lower leagues?

We already have 6 strikers (or actually 7, Mason included).

A full back might be needed, but we could also use someone from the DVP team as back-up in case of injuries, Jazz, e.g.

For me, it´s sounds a bit meaningless to shift out players just for the sake of it, and replace them with someone unproven who MIGHT become good. The only point in buying someone now, would be to get someone who would improve the first team. We have enough back-ups, in my opinion.

I'm feeling like a grumpy old man but I'm dreading the the transfer window. I think we will make a massive mess of it. I'd rather it didn't happen.

I would like to see Joe Mason giving a chance here
