Possession less than you would hope but being away and defending a lead it should be expected. Excellent result.

Points on board is most important but I do worry about our possession at times.

With only 29% but managing 11 attempts on goal, that sounds like an excellent away performance. Not forgetting a winning goal for Le Fondre & a clean sheet
Somehow we are 6 points off the top

Boom! A win is a win but we need to keep possession

Finally we are a side hard to beat and the foundations have been laid by russel slade to build upon

Just had a look on one of the Hornets forum sites. They are saying that the 70% possession meant nothing as it was all sideways and they played into our hands.
In fact one post said that Slade set us up perfectly!!

Good away performance and although Watford had a lot of the ball the majority of that was either in thier own half or around the halfway line. Of thier 22 attempts on goal only 5 were on target and 3 of those were in the first 10 minutes so for 80 minutes of that game Watford hardly had an attempt on target.
That is the first game this season where Watford have failed to score at home so massive credit must go to RS, for his team selection, tactics and of course for getting the team fit, organised and committed.
And in my opinion that's exactly what we were today.

Only one stat counts

Stats mean nothing today. We scored a well deserved goal and defended brilliantly. Great result.

I think this is what we can to come to expect now.

Fantastic win didn't expect it.
29% can't remember the last time I've seen that stat so low for any team but who gives a shit

Everton today had 61% compared to spurs 39% spurs at home!

so just goes to show its not the be all & end all of a game!
