Puzzling substitution

Tue Nov 25, 2014 5:40 pm

When Fabio came on against Reading, I cannot understand why Brayford didn't switch to right back to let Fabio slot in at left back. Can someone explain, please ?

Tan thought it was Rafael. Beings as we're based on man utd, he forgets which team is which when watching.

I said thatcafter the game. It was the same with Daelhi who plays his International football on the left wing.

I'm asuming that Slade doesn't really want to include either and that he's going to keep playing Brayford on the wrong side so he can fit Connely into the team.

Conelly for me is better at Centre Half. I don't think he's as good at attacking or defending as Fabio is from full back.

Slade said something about brayford coming well with the reading player so didn't want to change it.

He played matts on right wing and Fabio at right back. Both out of position. But they used to play on the left together and do have a good understanding. Maybe it's one of his so called partnerships

Lol i hadn't thought about the partnership angle taking priority over their best positions.

So I suppose we might see them both at Centre Back sometime soon.

He still is, only ever played on the left at MU because his brother played on the right and at city plays on the left because Brayford plays on the right :thumbright:

No he plays on the left at City because he wasn't great at right back and that move was made well before this season when we didn't have Brayford.
