Is he or isn't he?

Sun Nov 23, 2014 6:05 pm

I'm asking this as want neutral people opinions on this matter.

I know a friend who was banned from football for 1 & half seasons, not by the courts or he's got a football banning order but by the football club.

Apparently he made a racist comment but the club refuse to disclose the comment so the individual went to the solicitors then the human right lawyers and asked them to intervene on his behalf and asked to fight this in court. The lawyers have said that club will not say what comment was made and their judgment is final and their hands are tide. If the individual had made such a racist comment then he'd have been arrested and charged then we could fight it and we would win and he'd be allowed back as they are hiding the facts but as the club don't don't want to take it thither but just ban him then that's their right.

It's up to them who they allow in just like a wedding reception or house party, they are landlords so they have the final say. This person has been told that had you been charged and it had gone to court you would have won and that's why they refuse to disclose this racist allegation as we'd have brought into the witness box 14 people and their testimony would have been shoot to pieces as they'd not be able to keep their lies together.

My question is-

The club refuse him entry but do the refusing club have the right to refuse the individual the entry right at another club if the person brought a ticket on the day from a rival club?

No they can only ban from their ground! but they can ask any other club to ban him, but not enforceable entirely up to any club individually as to what they do. :old:

The club have no authority to ban him from another ground.

Positive response. Okay, what if this individual brought a ticket for argument sakes a ticket for Cardiff (away end) and the police spotted the said banned person (club not the courts) then have they got the right to say you are banned and we're going to eject you and if so then on what grounds if the individual hasn't got a banning order from the courts.

If the banning club has banned the individual then have they asked all clubs to ban him/her as well? Surely that's against the law?

I like you :notworthy:

My friend argument is which has been highlighted above then if he had made a racist comment and the courts banned him then fair enough (Total fabrication) but it's hear say and the club have picked on this individual because he's a known passionate fan so have abused their powers which he refuses to go back under any circumstances as he's been totally stitched up, even the police know it but it's even out of their control.

We'll see what happens when he visits his next away game :bluescarf:

Yes they do and that's their right but not their right to say if the person is allowed or isn't into other pubs or clubs. The individual may behave better in certain places but that could be down to the manner of the stewards, doorman. Some places have no problems what soever with guests but some do because it's down to egos and abusing their positions.

It's the same at football clubs. The stewards abuse their authorities.
