Strikers are here to score goals!

Sat Nov 22, 2014 5:21 pm

Have to say, I was all for giving Slade a chance; initially. But he doesn't seem to have any clue whatsoever ...and I say that as someone who has 0% experience of managing a football club. The football is dire, literally painful to watch at times and he seems insistent on keeping any players with a bit of spark as far away from the 1st team as possible. I'd just like to point out that STRIKERS ARE HERE TO SCORE F*****G GOALS! ...what on earth will it take to get that into his thick skull? ...I'd rather see Velikonja be given a look in than watch another game with that donkey Macheda up top, along with the striker who can't score goals (Le Fondre)

All the people who bang on about Le Fondre being "proven at this level" can do one as well, because he's clearly not doing the business for us, and if you are one to bang on about previous seasons, then Guerra should be first on everyones teamsheet. Drop him, and make him fight for a place in the team.

Ravel, Guerra and Daehli are 3 players that should definitely be making the match day squad every week. Next thing you know the daft tw*t will freeze Manga, Marshall and Fabio out because they're obviously all way to good for the league 1 team Slade is intent on building!

Also as a side note, get rid of Scott Young; how he is anywhere near the position he is currently in is absolutely ridiculous!

...I'm sorry, I just had to let it all out, though I'm sure it's probably what a lot of people are thinking! :ayatollah:

I read as far as you slating Le Fondre, then couldn't be bothered to read the rest. Le Fondre won the penalty last night you know? Maybe if Le Fondre didn't have the lazy Macheda alongside him, he would be able to score goals?

I appreciate he did win the penalty last night, and also the fact that he does work his bollocks off, but the fact is, he is a striker and he is not scoring! Even Macheda has 5X as many goals as him and has played 200 minutes less! To be fair he's played alongside Jones also, and still hasn't managed to get a goal (apart from the mad deflection) ...I do actually like Le Fondre, but I feel the current management need to give him a kick up the arse! Even more so Macheda.

totally agree ,he runs his socks off and needs a decent strike partner ,maybe Jones and him would work better

Can you also start a thread saying midfielders are here to supply our strikers.

Once you do can you please slate Noone for not picking his head up and passing the ball into Le Fondre who's in acres of space, but instead having a hopeful shot which still hasn't landed

Give the guy some credit we have one Striker of real quality Le frondre,

Kenwyne Jones is our Fortune west lifeline, throw him in the deepeend when all else fails and hope he falls over the ball and it goes in off his backside into the goal.

The rest aren't worth mentioning.

But seriously we need young athletic skillful strikers, we need a new Chopra and a new Campbell
