Adam Le Fondre

His work rate and off the ball runs are excellent. Nightmare for defenders. Shame his runs very rarely get spotted.

Last night I thought Macheda should have come off after half hour and been on the end of a Scott Young rant, but then he must be a favourite

Alf or Whitts MOM for me

he reminds me of Carl Dale but without the goals. Hes always chasing down the ball and lost causes

I still think the goals will come. Play Dhaeli or ravel behind him, or any other player who can spot runs and open up defences.

Does anyone else think he has put on a bit of weight ?

I'm sure he would be more of a nightmare for defender if he looked capable of scoring.

He is a proven goalscorer but he is not having a lot set up for him.

His work rate is excellent & he does do a lot of running off the ball and causes problems for defenders. I would like to see him play alongside Guerra (not going to happen) or Jones. Look like Macheda (worst striker at the club) is an RS favourite.

Guys he is shit, wake up. He touched the ball 24 times last night and was one of the lowest rated players, his head is down as well. Daehli had more touches than him...

How many minutes has he played, how many shots has he had, oh and by the way how many goals has he scored... That is why he's paid 15k or more a week to do! Macheda had twice as many touches, was shit, but at least he didn't hide! LEFONDRE DID NOT PUT A SHIFT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The guy couldn't score if he was in front of an open goal. Also didn't think he did particularly well last night. He hardly got on the ball at all. One of our worst players vs reading. Both the forwards were gash.

I question the football knowledge of anyone who thinks Le Fondre is playing shit.

I thought Le Fondre played well, but most fans need a scapegoat to moan about!

People saying he doesn't look like scoring, he was 1 on 1 when brought down to win the penalty. He was in acres of space for Noone to play him in, but Noone tried a shot (completely the wrong option)

He's in space so often but our midfielders are taking the wrong option.

Macheda certainly went hiding when it came to the challenge on the edge of the box for their goal.

Guerra or Jones should play alongside him or ravel or Dhaeli just off him.

Spot on lads. Makes intelligent runs all game, finds pockets of space but isn't getting the correct ball into him. Last night he was running BOTH channels. But it's ok because Macheda has scored 3 goals, 2 of which took massive deflections

Ok smart people:

He's made 16 appearances totalling 997 minutes, has one goal that was heavily deflected, ZERO assists, pass accuracy of 73%, averages only 1.4 shots per game :o For players who've made more than the average number of appearances in the Championship I.e. Players playing regularly. HE RATES AT..... WAIT FOR IT..... 329 out of 351 players!

Give him a new contract on that?

Oh forgot to add that the stats did say he makes nice runs and it's everyone else's fault

Shocking. He runs a lot though so can't see him being dropped.

I literally can't see why certain posters are creaming over him. The simple fact is, he's here to score goals and he hasn't done so ...you cant moan that he hasn't had the chances, when everyone else has had the same service and managed to score goals. kenwyne has managed to score, Maynard has managed to score (despite barely featuring) and even the donkey macheda has managed to score ...When your proven striker is tied on goals with your two central defenders after this many games played, you really need to think about dropping him. Zero assists and 1 (heavily deflected) goal in 15 games is an absolute joke to the point where David Marshall looks like more of a threat going forward ...So please, lets have another daft tw*t try and tell me that he is doing a good job ...believe it or not, Le Fondre was one of my favourite opposition players before signing for us.

I totally agree!

Interestingly his stats for reading were identical to his current performances with a few more goals.
