In the second half, our players were passing it around for long periods and yes in our own half at times, but I'm sure I heard sections of some fans boing our players? ?

We can moan on forums all day long, but dont boo our own players at the actual games

It is only because some fans really want slade to fail.

I wouldn't boo and I wouldn't boo a team keeping possession either.
But that performance was dreadful, no endeavour, no creativity and when Reading got one back you could see the team shit itself. Slade should have played Noone on the left, Pilkington on the right and stretched them. Instead he wussed out and played defensive. Pathetic.
Sat Nov 22, 2014 12:34 am
It's all to get at Tan and Slade is just like collateral damage and it is not right.
Sat Nov 22, 2014 1:02 am
I wasn't happy with the performance overall, but I never boo my team or one of our players.
You could look at the Reading game as an "ugly win" and then maybe the tactics start to make a bit of sense (keeping possession while not threatening the other end). It wasn't what I wanted to see, but I'll take the 3 points and 100% home record from RS in a heartbeat.

To boo means I care and I don't any more.
Sat Nov 22, 2014 7:27 am
I personally didn't hear booing but I hear was fans moaning about the way we played 2 nd half which I totally understand. 99% of fans could see the system needed changing & subs needed to brought on......I'm really worried as slade or all his assistants couldn't see it or see how shit Macheda was !!! I'm already beginning to lose patience with his team selection as players which are playing poorly are still getting picked
Sat Nov 22, 2014 7:52 am
This might sound daft but we over controlled the game we should have gone more direct and got the third goal to make the game safe Brayford missed a chance to get the third .why does Russell slide persevere with machida does nothing for me shouldn't have brought noon off

On the amateur stream I was watching last night, the booing came out very clearly. There was not a lot of it, only when Cardiff had been passing the ball for 2-3 minutes just for seeing it ending up at Marshall. They didn´t boo on Slade, they just wanted the team to attack. And Slade listened, seems like, cause then Fabio came in.

Slade is it of his depth.if we were to miraculously get to the premiership what then Slade and young must go or we will forever be mid table at best

You are spot on
We were playing keep ball and had it been to a faster tempo then those who were booing maybe could have seen what City were trying to do.
Knock the ball around from one flank through the middle and out to the other flank, meaning ten man Reading were chasing the ball, yes the ball went back to Marshall but I see no wrong in that when were 2-0 up.
In fact it was during that passage of play that the ball ended up not once but twice at the feet of Gunnarsson on the edge of Reading's box.

I'm getting to the point where some fans are ruining it for me. Brought my brother-in-law with me yesterday, who happens to come from a family of season ticket holders at Liverpool, and he couldn't believe how quick the fans were to turn on our players for any mistake they made.
Truth is, there's some bloody wankers sitting amongst us. I've got a bloke behind me who thinks he's the worlds biggest football expert, but he literally just chats shit. He bloody hates Le Fondre and everything he does too, to the point where I heard him say last night "Le Fondre is the worst striker we've ever had at this club", and kept saying how we need to sell him.
Is he nuts? Le Fondre is working his bloody socks off, probably running around more than any of our attacking players, and is doing all the work Macheda seems incapable of doing. The price of him playing that way is that he might not score a hell of a lot of goals, but it's not his fault we've got a lazy b*stard playing alongside him. Honestly, watching Macheda offends me, and I think I've seen him give the ball away more times than I've seen him do anything decent with it.
Yes, the passing was frustrating in the second half, but it was possession play and ultimately we needed the 3 points. I suspect we could've scored more had we pressed Reading into their own half, but at 2-0 I wasn't complaining. It's no wonder our team shit bricks, or concede late goals, when we've got fans booing them for passing it around and trying to finish the game.

We had several decent chances in the second half. If we had got the third, it would have been a very different story. It was quite frustrating, at times. Some of our strikers seemed too keen to score a spectacular goal, rather than take a second touch, and bury it. Credit to Whitts, though. Kept his cool after a long delay.
The only booing I heard was for the ref., the other stuff was just frustration at not getting forward enough.
But a win is a win. I enjoyed the drive home after the game.

It was the right thing to do by our players. We were inviting them into our half to chase the ball.
It wad Reading that needed to get the ball off us as they were two goals down. Makes sense to me.
Sat Nov 22, 2014 11:37 am
Makes me laugh when people get restless when the team try's keeping the ball when we're winning, moaning that we weren't going for third!! Then when the opposition scores they ain't happy with that either!! Can't win lol
Sat Nov 22, 2014 11:47 am
Why would any team commit to attacking when the opposition his 10 men surely you people would rather us keep the ball.
Thats like a boxer winning 10 rounds on points and the corner telling him to go and get into a fight now.
People will never be happy no matter what.
My views on the game is that we were very lucky & I mean very lucky.
until the own goal machida looked out of his depth.
Le fondre might as well had been some where else on the pitch because he didn't have a clue what he was doing.
evey loose ball we were never there first.
Noone was trying his best to get the motivation going running at players.
What I can say is that the defence had more structure that has been a lack for a long time.

No booing near me but an awaful lot of sighing and groaning at what was an awful display no matter how we try to dress it up.
Both of those are allowed aren't they!

I moan all through the match to who ever is next to me
But I dont believe in letting the players hear booing whilst they are playing, as to me this helps no one

Piss poor support. Probably wanted a name manager like a shearer or hasslebank. Venting their anger

Did not go last night, but surprised about this keep ball theory, after reading that we had possession 47% and theirs was 53%,
they must have had about 70% of the possession before they had a man sent off, to end up with these stats.

The stats for first half was 37-63. Before the sending off, we had 0 shots on target and was leading 1-0. But it´s allowed to be lucky

How can a team play keep-ball with Macheda on the pitch. He's a one-man turnover specialist.

Ever since Whittingham coming v Norwich I don't think I will ever be fully proud of our fan base.
