In my view
It's 3 points it was sloppy and sluggish at times, we lost the 2nd half 1-0 against 10 men v's a side who have not won away since august that's not really a productive 45 minutes work from a home side with an advantage in quality and players.
But there are positives, One being mats daelhi, looked in fantastic shape and as always made less mistakes than any other player on the field,
Our 3 main strikers are holding down places on past reputation alone and it needs addressing, it certainly wont be good enough to win a play off Final, but if we want to be positive we might out run the smaller squads come may next year.
I'd much rather see 2-3 fit, pacey athletic strong strikers in the squad assuming Guerra's days are numbered, all 3 have have combination of podgy, unfit, and sloppy in spells,

3 points but we were absolute shite.
Looked sluggish, slow, there was no urgency or flair.
Thought Turner was solid & done what he does best. One bright spark of the night was Daehli who looked streets ahead of anyone else even in the short time he was on.
Macheda?? WTF is he all about?!
Fri Nov 21, 2014 10:30 pm
We were comfortable until Daehli and fabio came on.
Fri Nov 21, 2014 10:40 pm
All I'm gonna say is how the feck did Macheda stay on the pitch till the 86th min....I would have had him off after the first 45
Fri Nov 21, 2014 10:40 pm
Quite painful to watch at times. We really are kidding ourselves if we think we're going to get near the playoffs.
Agreed about the strikers. Macheda did F all & Le Fondre couldn't hit a barn door at the moment. Where are we going to get a 20 goaler from I wonder? Rhys Healey? Service to strikers needs to be more clinical too... Oh well, surely things can get better

3 points if your not playing well is a positive! I couldn't attend tonight as it was my daughters birthday, caught last 5 mins on radio. The summary was professional, not played great but 3 points while in transition was 3 pts! Also said noone was back to his best.

I worry that maybe Slade feels he has inherited great strikers, we are going to need a shade more quality or an few shades to really sort this out

We should of gone all out for the kill second half but like OGS ... Slade i dont think knows his best team yet but has to be given time and we need to start picking points up on the road

Watford away will be the test

If he doesn't know his best team yet how come he picks the same players and the same formation week after week when we have a squad of 38 professional players?
I'm beginning to think the bloke is way out of his depth.

I can't see why Daehli is getting gushing praise. He did OK but was he better than Noone ?

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan especially when moved inside, but I did n't think he did that much to get the praise in the earlier posts

That was a truly dreadful first half and not much better in the second. Very lucky to go two up with a fluke goal and a penalty. For me that was close to our worst away performances.
Most worrying was playing Brayford left back just to fit in Connely then bringing on Matts on the right of midfield when he's just had two MOM performances on the left. We then brought on Fabio at right back when he's been our standout performer this season on the other side.
Why not just switch Brayford and Fabio at that stage.
Noone for me did nothing first half but then put in one cross field run in the second period that looked magic but then kicked the ball out for a Reading goal kick less than two minutes later. He's just not up to it at the moment.

Just shows how wrong you can be when you're not actually watching. It was dreadful and for most of the game we were second best. Only won because of a fluke goal and a penalty with the last kick of the first half.
Not entertaining at all........
Think Blackpool or Birmingham away and you'll understand what it was like.
I'm trying hard to look for positives at the moment but it isn't easy.

Feelings on the result? Ecstatic!!
Feelings on the way we played? Totally disappointed by a lack-lustre performance, particularly 2nd half.
End of term report: Must try harder and get homework done.

Felt very disappointed leaving the ground tonight. It's a win and I am happy to get the three points. What alarms me is the substitutions we were in control albeit not creating much against a team who looked more organised with ten rather than eleven men and he takes off the only player who was attacking them and getting any joy in nooney. We lost any momentum we had and I must have seen a different game to some on here because dhaeli done o.k. nothing more but he was out on the wing to be fair to him. Don't know how the team talk went at half time but it must have been very uninspiring as that was one of the worst half's of football I've seen us play against a team a man down.

Dahlis first 5 or 6 touches were backpasses to Connolly.Hardly the flying winger some seem to think he is

Brilliant, I'm no big Slade fan but didn't everyone moan because Ole kept changing the team.

They were wrong. Noone had a two minute spell right before he got hooked off but apart from that he was erratic at best. Wayward shooting when others were better placed, lost the ball too often. Long way to go before we can say he is back to his best, Awful game and dreadful performances by most of our players. Hope Slade has got a few pacey players in mind for January. This current mob will not get us into the play-offs I'm afraid.
