My opinion on Russell Slade is that he comes across as a genuine and hard working sort of bloke but the fans are going to take a lot to get on his side, partly due to the fact that apart from last years we mainly have had good or great seasons for the last ten years and MM will be a hard act to follow but the joke is that if we were to offload ten players and sign nobody then the club would become stronger not weaker and that is OGS fault...
My ten would be
Jo Inge Berget
Etien Velikonja
Filip Kiss
Guido Burgstaller
Javi Guerra
Nicky Maynard
Magnus Wolff Eikrem
Kagisho Dikcagoi
Juan Cala
and unfortunately Matts Daeli unless he gets a run of games which if he really commits himself to the club and makes himself undroppable from at least the match day 18,
Also Harris and John out on loan
If that was possible that would save the club something like £6 million plus in wages per season which could be much better spent.
The club would also need to reduce the under 21 squad by 5 or 6
If all that was done it would be a far healthier club on the training field and generally, it would also mean we could add to the squad to compliment the return of Joe Mason in January.I think then we would have to see what Slade adds to the squad and what he does with the still very good squad he would be left with...then we can make a fair judgement.

I don't see any harm with recalling Filip Kiss, because he has previously shown he's up to Championship level and would give us the added grit, steel, bite and tenacity in the middle to help Gunnarsson out. Kiss played in the most dominant City away performance I have ever seen since we reached the Championship:

i am not convinced hes the manager to take
us up but will suport him .
as for daeli i think hes one of the most
talented players ever to be at the club
and rather see him stay and build a midfield
around him .

He is spot on that the squad needs reducing but you still use what you have while you have it available.
I don't like Slade, how he manages or how he talks, I don't think he will last either. Will support the team, and hope we do well.

Good post, I watched him play a great game at Derby away think we won 4-0 midweek! Does like a challenge!

I'd like to see kiss back, one of malky strangest singing, treated appallingly like so many. Bet Slade would love him.

That was when Whitts scored a couple wasn't it? Whitts gave the keeper the eyes and whipped the ball into the near corner with one of his goals if I recall correctly?

Kiss did well for us on loan during Malky's first season, then Malky signed him permanently to keep him but he couldn't quite break in during our title winning season with Gunnarsson, Whitts, Mutch and Kim ahead of him at the time. I remember Kiss having a bit of a mare one home game and getting subbed at half time. Malky understandably kept the same midfield then as we were top of the league and winning games.
I think our squad is definitely lacking a Filip Kiss at the moment though. Dikagcoi was supposed to be our midfield destroyer but with him unfit and injured, why not bring Kiss back who has been playing regularly for Ross County?

I think he will but only because hes Tan's direct appointment and Tan sacking him would be admiting he was wrong, something he doesn't do.
The jurys out for Slade but he deserves some time and at least the January transfer window.

Tan will reverse it when he sacks him and say he listened to the wrong person. No one believes he has ever heard of Slade before someone had a word in his ear. God knows who mind.
