Where does any of this money go? And why we paying people who have never been voted into any kind of power money in the first place, let alone it being £50bn or more??

Disgusting Gravy Train - another unwanted and unneeded talking shop.

Has anyone seen that documentary that aired on TV a couple of years ago about MEP's in Brussels clocking off early on a Friday morning queuing to get in their expenses forms.

They start their travel to Brussels from their homes on a Monday morning (from all over Europe) all 766 of them (or travel on a Sunday and stay near Brussels in 1st class hotel + meals and drinks, etc all bookable as expenses).

So get to work, Monday anytime from 10.00 am to 13.00pm then queue to get out first thing Friday morning straight after signing into work (literally sign in and sign straight back out for weekend) - after putting in their personal expenses claims for a jolly weekend off - then the cycle starts all over again the next week.

It is no wonder Europe and it's citizens are in trouble.

Don't forget that this is an extra layer of parliament in Brussels - each member state also has its own Parliaments.

Shocking, truly shocking.

Look at this photo which shows how much each and every MEP collects in Wages - that,s without the Travel expenses, food, hotels, car hire, or the extra allowance for free haircuts in the salon also the cost of the £217,000 office allowance available to each MEP.

GRAVY TRAIN IT CERTAINLY IS.

Not saying I'm for the EU or anything. But I don't know where the idea comes from that the EU parliament is unelected when it made up of MEP elected by there respective countries. UKIP have the most MEPs from the UK as they won the European Elections in the UK (last year, was it?)

I also find Nigel Farage rather hypocritical seeing as he is a MEP himself, claiming the huge salary and claiming enormous expenses (such as employing his non-britsh wife on a rather large salary).

It's ridiculous, eventually people are starting to realise it. I was shocked to learn it costs the UK £55,000,000 per DAY in membership fees to be in the EU! Nice to see where our money is going.

Time to get out of the EU.

It's worth remembering that when Scotland looked like it was going to leave the UK they were told they couldnt use the pound, the price of everything would go up, investment and capital would move to England. In contrast those supporting UKIP seem to think if we leave the EU they'll just shrug their shoulders and let us continue trading freely as part of the common market receiving all the benefits but with none of the costs. I'd think carefully before backing Nigel Farage, the privately educated, former city trader and multi millionare MEP who claims not to be part of the establishment. With his wealth he can weather the fall out from leaving Europe more than most on here.
