Will we qualify?

Mon Nov 17, 2014 9:03 pm

Great point last night.

But will we qualify in your opinion?

I don't think so, but hope so.
We had a solid start in the 3 game start, looking back maybe the Bosnia draw wasn't great.
Belgium draw boosted that but I don't think coleman is clever enough. Already seeing mistakes he has got away with.

Agree about the tactics. I read on Twitter that all the Coleman knockers should be eating humble pie after last night, but that's not the case. Belgium would have scored had it not been for a brilliant save by Hennessey. They probably should have scored in the last few seconds too. The decision to play Bale as a striker was weird. Maybe that will change when Church and Vokes are back.

Having said that, this is the best chance we've had in ages. The fact that being 3rd guarantees at least a play-off place is good, but can we finish above Belgium, Israel and Bosnia?

It's a promising position we're in, but a lot of work to do still.

Providing we keep everyone injury free then we've definitely got a shout of getting 2nd place. Vokes will be back before the next game to which should make us even more dangerous.

Yes. I slated him, but Coleman deserves the praise now, just like he deserved the criticism before.

I think he deserves praise for the belgium result although im not convinced Bale upfront is the best idea still, wasted for most the game.

The other games we got the results you would expect for a team trying to qualify. Andorra away though was a tactical nightmare for him, thankfully Bale rescued us.

I think we will qualify,as runners up to Belgium.
I don't reckon Israel will keep up their great start and Bosnia will struggle to catch up,Belgum are a very good side and their class will come through.Second for us in my opinion.
Well happy with that. :)

We can forget about finishing above Belgium, it won't happen. Finishing 2nd will be good enough, so we just have to finish above Israel and Bosnia. Bosnia are way behind already, so realistically, it's between Wales and Israel for 2nd. Israel have started well, sure, but they've haven't played either us or Belgium yet. After the next two games, we'll have a much better idea.

If we can get a remarkable result home to belgium and beat israel, I think the play off's will be extremly tough to tough for a team like wales over two legs we aren't good enough away from home.

Also if we do Qualify we will get slaughtered by the the likes of Holland, Spain, France Germany, Italy

Who cares if we are slaughtered if we get there? We haven't qualified for anything since the 1958 World Cup, so qualifying for any tournament would represent the pinnacle of achievement for us! Besides, we only lost 2-0 away to Holland in June, so we weren't exactly slaughtered.
