Malky Mackay apology

Sun Nov 16, 2014 11:19 pm

As random as this post is I thought I would just like to see opinions on his apology few months back when he done the interview?

I personally wouldn't be bothered about him getting the chance to manage again but I find it quite extraordinary that people actually think that apology he gave was nothing short of pathetic. That's the only reason I don't think he should get the chance again unless he gives an actual apology.

At the time it was not clear what he was apologising for. Since Tan took it to the FA Malky has gone public and apologised.

Yeah because it was only after we got relegated it came about he first apologised but honestly this isn't because of my agenda I had with him originally but I just thought the way he come across and the attitude was just pathetic.

Don't know what your getting at here.

I didn't see any attitude from Malky when he was with us or when he went.

I was referring to the televised apology Bakes.

He's only sorry he got caught. I don't think he means a word of it, it's just something he knows he has to do because if he didn't he would literally never work in football again

I agree with this.
When I see Malky I just see one huge ego.

Its still puts me into a rage remembering him on some Sky program after he was sacked talking about cardiff, watching us struggle pathetically upfront and tehn refusing to accept Cornelius was a bad signing and totally backed his decision to sign him, his ego just wont allow him to admit he is anything other than right everytime.

Sadly, have to agree with this

Malky (through his final actions when connected with Cardiff City FC) hoodwinked the fans and showed little contriteness for what we now know he did. His ego appears not to allow for that in his make-up. Ironically, probably not a bad thing for a football manager! :(

I didn't like his style of football and despite what some fans say I think he did have an arrogant attitude when he was with us.

His treatment of some players was appalling and his racist behavior unacceptable... and we are still picking our way through what went on with transfers.

HOWEVER (I can't believe I am actually going to defend him), if a club wants to take him on as their manager they do so at their own risk and it's entirely up to them. I don't see how anyone could stop them. This comes at a time when some people are supporting a convicted rapist, who is showing no remorse and has not apologised (in any way), to return to football.

Malky may have shown himself to be somewhat racist and dodgy but he hasn't raped anyone.

Given the choice surely we'd rather Malky back in football than Ched?

I don't know if it was that comment (of theirs) or the actual conduct that made me more sick of the sight of him.

Football is a fairly backwards place as it is. We NEED to kick out the discrimination. It doesn't matter if you're black or white, or what kind of person you like putting your genitals into, you don't deserve to be discriminated against.

Makes me laugh the amount of people who still manage to turn this around and blame it on Tan though.
