' TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR MORRISON '

Cardiff City manager Russell Slade has admitted that loan signing Ravel Morrison is running out of time to prove himself with the 21 year-old’s loan coming to an end.

Morrison, who is currently still signed to West Ham United, is on loan at the Welsh side as he looks to get his career back on track. The midfielder has been out of form since his departure from Manchester United and is yet to hit the heights that made him such a talent.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has not been impressed with the youngster’s attitude and doesn’t see him in his plans with the Hammers currently flying in the Premier League. The former Bolton boss gave Morrison some game time last season but he failed to kick on and left for the Championship side ahead of the new season.

And now Slade, who took over the relegated Premier League side after leaving Leyton Orient, has admitted that the England U-21 international needs to show his ability that made him such a big name at junior level.

Slade said: “There’s no doubt that Ravel has got bags of ability. He has been at Manchester United and West Ham under great managers and with quality players all around him. But it has not quite happened for him. He still has not fulfilled the potential he has shown and the ability he has got.”

A knee injury has not helped Morrison’s start at his new side and he’s started just once in eight games and hasn’t scored.
