Cardiff City legend Scott Young to manage legends side for charity football match
Money from the game will be put towards a designated rehabilitation centre in Wales for young adults with neurological conditions
Cardiff City assistant manager Scott Young says his side of former bluebirds legends plan to “put on a show” when they take to the field for a charity football match this weekend.
The tough tackling centre back, who says he’s loving life as Russell Slade’s number two, will manage a star-studded Cardiff XI against members of the public at the Cardiff International Sports Stadium on Sunday.
It is being held in aid of Kyle’s Goal which aims to raise money for a designated rehabilitation centre in Wales for young adults with neurological conditions.
“It’s good to have all the lads back in the same changing room,” said Young.
“I know I’m managing the side, but I’d also like to get on at some point.
“It’s in their nature to be competitive, so when the lads cross the white line they will want to do things right. We want to put on a show for everybody.”

I'm pretty sure Scott Young was meant to be attending a charity match in Maerdy on Sunday in memory of Grant Agg who passed away last week at the age of 22
I'll get the link now, it was on WalesOnline
